1998 Z3 1.9l Autocross Build

Just out of curiousity (since I had my steering wheel redone by Royal a couple years ago), did you just apply that over the top of the existing wheel or did you have to strip off the existing cover first?
Over the top...needed it thicker and that helped.

I've thought about autocrossing my Z...my son got into it for awhile when he had his Ford Fiesta ST (a fun little car). Ultimately, my car is pristine from when my Dad bought it in '01. It only had 4700 miles on it when I bought it from them in '17. I didn't want to risk scuffing the paint if I repositioned the cones.

Don't hit cones!

Don't hit cones! Go have fun...give yourself extra space around the cones. I am loving it. Not hit a cone yet...but I suppose I will. It's a car and I love the tool that it is as much as what stands for for me. I have always been a car guy since I was very little. I appreciate a pristine car as much as a demo derby car. Go play before time runs out!!!!!

And one other thing. What would you're dad want you to do with his car...play with it or keep it pristine? My dad would say, if he were alive, would say PLAY WITH IT! IT'S f***ING CAR FOR PETE'S SAKE, SON!

Very good points.

I'm going to hate myself almost as much as you will hate me for mentioning it but I think your front bump stops are on upside down. :(
But, FWIW, I don't think it makes any real difference.
Yeah it can go either way...word on the street is this is a bit more progressive...not sure I believe that but went with it anyway.

Supersprint Performance Race Muffler installed. It took about three hours start to finish. All the nuts came right off since the car has zero rust. It's super easy to change out...two bolts at the cat, three hangers. Just a lot of up and down and moving/sliding myself around to get everything in line, etc.

Love the sound. Burble---ee but not too loud, no back-firing noises....yay! Maybe a touch louder than I expected, but it's so hard to tell on Youtube. One caveat they don't tell you...ya need the connecting pipe and a Walker 31370 Exhaust Pipe Flange Gasket!

Your description sounds a lot like the Magnaflow cat-back I put on mine. A bit louder, but a wonderful burble with no pops or crackles.
