Hello everyone,

Back in December last year (2022) I spotted a high mileage 2001, 3.0i Z3 on eBay. The car was an individual specification and came with a large file of bills and service history. I took the plunge and bought the car without viewing it. The car turned out to be better than I expected. I laid it up until early April. Since then it has been my daily driver. I have put close to 7K on the clock bringing the total up to 170K.

During the Summer I began to get the car how I wanted it. There have been a few things that have been done during my short ownership..

1.) Replace a few missing tools and the warning triangle.
2.) Replace a selection of blown light bulbs behind the centre console.
3.) Go back to and OEM radio cassette and fit an OEM CD stacker.
4.) Retro fit cruise control.
5) Add a hard top and fitting kit.
6) Add a heated screen button and wiring loom.
6.) Fit a set of BMW aluminum pedals.
7.) Fit a dash cam and a base for my Road Angel.

The car is far from perfect but it has been a joy to own and drive over the Summer. It always turns heads and has attracted a lot of comments. Far more than I was expecting.

The car does have a small oil leak but this will be taken care of in November.

Over last weekend I gave the car a once over and took some pictures. I thought I would post them here.

This site has been incredibly useful regarding hints and tips. Particularly in finding 'hidden wires' that are part of the standard wiring loom. A big thank you to those who run the site and to those who contribute.

Thanks a lot.

Andy.

She looks a treat! Always good to hear a success story, especially after my lack of one!
