Oh yes @t-tony, I investigated that annoying rattle from the rear. After checking the rear top mounts were tight and they were, I jacked the car up and did what you said, found I hadn't fully tightened the bottom bolt on the shock, embarrassingly :meh:.
pleased to say there are no rattles or bangs at all now, even the really annoying rattle that was there before only when the roof was up, has gone as well :D.

That's good news mate. I made some progress with Ant's car but I'll tell him first before putting it on here.;)

Massive thanks to @t-tony for giving up his time this afternoon to fit my new front suspension :thankyou:.
View attachment 56256

The near side was a pig to get off as it must of been the original. The near side was much easier as that one appeared to have been replaced at some time.

The drive home was a joy,the steering feels much better and ride much improved.
Didn't try too hard on corners though as it threw it down with rain.

It sits higher than before, but it'll settle a bit more with use.

I'm really happy with it and glad I kept it standard.
I must say having seen what was involved, there was no way I would have completed this on my own,on my driveway.

Was great to see you and Shirl again mate and thanks for the cuppas.
We'll have to meet up for a cruise and a bite to eat some time mate if you fancy it.
May be worth getting your tracking checked Steve once it's settled. Had my new tyres fitted and alignment today, vast improvement on my ancient Avon's.

That's true mate and I've had it jacked up again earlier which won't help, we'll see how it sits tomorrow.
So pleased it's done now though ;).
