Hello everyone,

It's a bit of a change from phpBB, but I hope you will all settle in to the new system quickly. There are still some bits'n'bobs to be tidied up from the migration. Also a few more things that need to be added, like a better selection of Smilies ;)

We will also be tidying up some of the 'how to' threads which refer to phpBB usage.

If you have any questions just give any of the moderators a shout and we will be glad to help you out.

The new site has got me completely bam boozled  .............like 95% of most web forum users; I want to go quickly to 'active topics' to see the latest postings on any topic......but I'm afraid I cannot find this link.

Please come to the rescue :)

Hi TWO,

The button you are looking for is off the Forum menu and is labelled "What's New". I am going to add an extra option for "Recent Posts" to the menu, which is the one which seems to be missing.

Sorry for the confusion.

I prefer the old one, seems overly complicated.

IMHO,

That's one reason I still like . Net as its so easy to use.

Don't see these comments as negative just my opinion.

I will get used to it.

When I use the iPad to post a reply, I do not see the text editor etc just above the area where I write. Is this my iPad or do I need to change a setting somewhere?

Mark, I wouldn't want you to be any other way and I certainly don't see it as negative at all.

I appreciate it's a learning curve for some, and even steeper for others.

Brian,

It's the way the forum displays on the iPad. It uses a more simplistic 'mobile' view similar to Tapatalk on a tablet. I'm investigating to see if there is a way to unlock the full editor on iPads etc. Will update if I can find a solution.

Cheers, Gary

I will soon get the hang of it, after all I've nearly had 2600 posts!

Brian H

I've installed a fix which will now display the editor tools on the iPad. Works OK with both Safari and Chrome browsers on my iPad. Can you give it a try and let me know if it works for you too?

Thanks Brian H,

that said it seems to have brought a different issue for me. The auto correct is going mad at times, and replacing in an odd manner. More investigation for now, but if you can let me know if it happens for you that would be great!

cheers, Gary
