I agree but I'm always confused by the line in the song about a "Silver Black Phantom bike"Bat out of Hell, one of the best albums of all time

A lot of lyrics courtesy of LSD mateI agree but I'm always confused by the line in the song about a "Silver Black Phantom bike"
Tony.
I saw the Stones at the Cow Palace om SF in 1964. Paid $3.50 for the ticket. Took my daughter to see them in Oakland (Ca) Coliseum in 1994, paid $50 per ticket. Heard most of the same damned songsPah. Rolling Stones, 1976, Halle Munsterland. Not a Zimmer frame in sight. Be a bit different now, what with Keef being technically dead, just refusing to lie down. And Bill on bass back then. Only just got back from a tour of Ulster (us, that is) went down the Halle but all sold out. Sad faces all round. Then we hear that they'll play twice that night. Happy faces all round. Got in for the second show, don't know where they got the energy from. Could take a guess, maybe.

I went to school with Jim Morrison for one year. His dadccx was in the Navy andvthey moved to LA next year. He was god friends with a friend of mine. I knew him enough to say hello but we didn't hang out at all. Never figured him to be a rock star, he was a buzz cut guy on the swim team. But knowing him made me a "god" to my daughter, lol. That and taking out Janis Joplin's phone for not paying the bill, when I worked for the phone co. in SF in 1968.Has anyone mentioned The Doors yet....Break on Through (to the other side), Riders on the Storm both great tracks I love to listen to whilst driving in the Zed
Good call.No driving album is complete without Highway to Hell, AC/DC, as I'd include Inna Godda Davida, just because...
Singing in French is all part of the attraction to Cajun music, well it is to me Tom. I’ve always loved Accordian playing since seeing my Uncle George play his when I was a nipper.I've become a huge Cajun music fan, the "old" Cajun kind, not zydeclo so much. I'd add a few tracks, but I don't speak French, so I have no idea what the hell they're singing.![]()

Just for you @BonzeauI don't listen to music very much at all in Z3lda, apart from the sweet music coming from the the six under the bonnet. But the other day, in a queue, I switched on the CD player wondering which of the six discs would play. In fact I couldn't really remember what all of them were, let alone the number.
The song that came on was 'Blues Hand Me Down' by a band called Vintage Trouble, from their debut album 'The Bomb Shelter Sessions.'
I first heard the band way back, in 2011 I think it was. It was late on a Friday evening, Mrs.Bonzo had gone to bed and I was stretched out on the sofa, half dozing listening to 'Later' with Jools Holland when the guys launched into 'Blues Hand me Down.' Boy did I wake up quickly.
I was on my feet joyously dancing around (well, sort of dancing!) it was so vibrant and dynamic, just four guys making such a big, rhythmic
soul/rock sound. I was hooked. the guitarist in my band saw them and he too was raving about them. He, our bassist Terry (I bought Z3lda from him} and myself went to see the guys live in Bournemouth. It was brilliant! Boy could they play and sing and put on a show. That was when I was living in Sussex, and I saw them again at The Waterfront after retiring and moving to Norfolk. Such humble guys as well, I managed to have a few words with them after the show at The Waterfront.
I urge you to check them out. I'm not clever enough to post any videos here, but I think Youtube have a video of the guys on the Jools Holland show, or you could check out the official 'Blues Hand Me Down' video. Also, to see how good these guys are google them on 'Sunday sessions at the BBC and Click on 'Run Outta You. Awesome! 'Blues Hand Me Down' is also available there.
Bonzo.

It's great stuff. Cajun music just makes you want to get up and dance! There are 2 groups I really like, Bonsoir Catin and the Magnolia Sisters. Accordian players and fiddler are awesome. I may learn French just to be able to sing along, lol
