F1 Zorg & Badger GP Fantasy Grand Prix 2016

Next year should be interesting, a fresh start with totally different cars which may suit some drivers more than others, as happened with Vettel and this car. I still think a Hamilton is a better out and out racer than Rosberg. Time will tell, roll on next March!

Tony.
I agree mate. The big issue most none F1 fans can't get their heads round is that F1 is a package that the driver is a part of. If they want to see who is the best driver only then they need to look further down the formula where all cars are (virtually) the same. The best driver is Hamilton but the deserved World Champion is Rosberg.

A bit like me in Badger F1, I'm clearly the best by some distance, I just had multiple reliability issues with my predictions

Rosberg is F1 world champion

Summary
  1. Rosberg wins world title as Hamilton wins race
  2. Hamilton disobeys team orders to speed up, backing Rosberg into rivals
  3. Button, Kvyat, Bottas & Magnussen, Sainz out

Enjoyed this race, Hamilton playing his mind games.
But where the hell did Vettel come from in his under performing red car? I had 1st 2nd & 3rd in the bag towards the end of the race.
But then I did hope that Vettei would take Rosberg out...;)

Driver of the day?.....Mad Max, all the way back up the order after his spin at the start.

That is a poor....and erroneous excuse.....my predictions were never much good....I just had by far the best team!!! :racecar::scorecard:

There's always next year for you. =))

I resemble that remark =)) Let's see how poor I can be next year. My team pics were poor :(

@BMBabe you can dislike Mad Max but he is the future of F1, stick him in Rosberg's car and he will be a Hamilton killer.

Verstappen 'finishes on a high'
Max Verstappen: Very happy to finish on a high after being last at turn 1. Fighting back to P4 was best we could do. Congrats to @nico_rosberg!

I fail to understand the point that the Merc director was interfering As I see it Hamilton is an employee of the company ,your director tells you what to do ,you do it. If Hamilton was putting his money at risk to run the team then he could whatever he wanted to do,simple. Hamilton seems to wish someone provides the car for him to do whatever he chose,s ,and pays him to do it.

As I see it Hamilton is an employee

Get what you are saying but one moment they say "no team orders, we let our drivers race" and the next moment, team orders?
Its either one or the other so in my view Hamilton was right to tell them to stick it.

And if anyone thinks Rosberg or any other driver in the same position would have done anything differently then they are deluding themselves!!

Hamilton's attitude to trying everything he could to win the World Championship is the difference between the very good and the great. History will see Hamilton as one of the if not F1's best ever F1 driver. Like it or not, that's the difference.

Evening @Gail, how did you do points wise in that race?

Pretty good I think.....pole, first and second and safety cars predicted right.....I have no doubt that I will be top of our league by quite some distance. :D:D

You'll all just have to try again next year!! ;)

Hats off to @Gail, a win by some margine.
:scorecard:

In true F1 fashion though, and in my defence, I was rubbish. Roll on next season :)

If I had not been out a few times getting drunk and forgetting my predictions, it would be a different story I will have you know.....:pompus:

Yeah yeah.....dream on!!!!! =))

Hamilton was in with a chance of the championship so he had every right to deploy whatever legal tactics he could in order to reach that ambition. Risky, yes. He knew what was going on behind him and was doing all he could to use that to his advantage. Racing isn't always leading the charge from the front - it all about using your head to play the other racers off against each other.
Max did a brilliant job to get back after that spin and drove his tyres right to the limit. It might have been a different story had he not have spun, or if Hamilton hadn't had the hardware jinx at a few races.
Congratulations (grudgingly ) to Rosberg, Commiserations to Hamilton. The end result speaks for itself.
I think it will be much closer between the teams next season.

So Hamilton is right to try to stop his employer from taking second place in a race? I would expect an employee to try and do what is best for his employer not just for himself. As I said if he wants to fund the team he can call the shots, but if someone else is paying ,and paying you,you do as he says. How would you feel paying someone who chooses wether to carry out your instruction or not?

This is called racing, not working down the local supermarket.
Anyway, team orders should be totally banned as should radio contact, even though I do like hearing it though.

Merc already had the constructors trophy, this race was just all about the drivers.
