So tomorrow beckons a new era for me with the return of top down motoring for the Zed. I
Am roughing it on my sons couch tonight, he's the one in Australia, in preparation for dropping the car off at
Mike Ducklakeview first thing and praying he casts a spell on the roof motor and top down motoring is restored. Going to get the oil service and the bushes done at the same time so the car will be wending its way to a much healthier condition.
Can't wait it feels like Christmas again only better

You will be well pleased Mike, the other Mike is a Magician. Happy roof down motoring, see if he can code your key to open the roof while you're at it mate.

Thanks for the good words Tony, and I've added remote open and close to the bottom of the other Mike's list lol.

So here is the car on its first outing with roof fixed and running and handling like a dream. T-Tony you are 100% absolutely correct that, other Mike is a Magician and most worthy of the praise you give. I can't stress enough how knowledgeable supportive and extremely good value he has been in making my Zed run like the precision engineering motor it was designed to be. I got the roof fixed and relocated plus a complete service Plus new brembo front discs and pads, new (lollipops) suspension bushes, new quality rocker cover gasket, roof open/close off the key fob, and lots of general advice and a ride in his 3.0i Z4 for a quarter of what I was quoted from the Indy to fix my misfire and roof. Mike is an extremely well qualified and able z4 guru and a really good bloke too. Priceless

I could not have put it better Mike. I'm happy you were well looked after as I knew you would be. He's a top man in my book.

I think the solution is let her keep that, and buy himself a 3.0 auto :)

I think buying another car would be cheaper than the divorce, for sure
Yes, you're probably right there Mike. Could just be a fad =)) Unless your wife is like mine;). Shirl isn't keen on the Zeds but likes a convertible in the shape of a VW Eos.
