@Nflynn to be honest mate I think you're between a rock and a hard place. If you can't get the emissions down you can't take it, if you have to seriously modify it to get the emissions down you can't take it. I think you'll have to sell it here and take the money with you. @Murray Wall may be able to advise on buying a car out there?

Tony.

Hey there, how can I seek further advice or suggestions on this.
No idea to be honest, having worked all over the world in the Oil & Gas biz I have always heard of these problems when people were trying to import their cars, we put it down to the fact that the country you were moving to wanted you to buy there.

@Murray Wall may be able to advise on buying a car out there?
Yep, best bet I think, considering all the hassle with decontamination etc for private export.

Cheers Tony,

I agree, it may not be possible. If it can be done it could be expensive. Then it's another problem as it would then be modified, and they won't like that either. Looks like this zed will have to stay in the UK. Thank you kindly anyway. Just a shame.
Cheers Tony.

Just sorry I can't be more help mate. I'm sure when Murray sees he's been tagged he'll be along to suggest something.

Tony.

Hello and welcome.

The article below gives the emission limits for each level of Euro rating. Whilst it is worth investigation I suspect that modification to halve the emissions ( to get from 3 to 4) for your 2005 car could be rather expensive.

Might be worth considering buying a Z locally, or looking at Japanese imports to NZ that comply.

@Dobiwallah also llives in NZ, we visited him in 2016 when we went to NZ. He is pretty hands-on and may be able to advise you.

Hello there,

Thanks for your advise. I'll try this chap in Napier. I once lived there. Cool place. Seems overall this car cannot get to E4. Never took into account it's emissions when I got it. Trying to keep it and import it is not a reality. Shame though. I'll post this guy, unlikely to change anything, but I'll try. Thanks again. Neil.
