That's a sensible mod Lee. the only thing fog lights seem to do is get hit by stones.

To blow or not to blow that is the question.

I have now reach a level where I love the look of the coupe and love the way it handles. It was a beast on track and out handled more cars than I expected. Really showed her 50/50 weight distribution and how easy she was to tame, even if it was monsoon season that day.

I'm planning to take it to the next level but these mods all come at a high price. LSD (torsen) is in the region of 1k and then the supercharger is around 3.6k (why not aye) I would like to switch to coilovers as well maybe HSD or BC.

Also a hydraulic steering conversion, now there's an idea :D

Cosmetic wise I'm feeling an M bumper on the horizon this maybe sooner though because my current bumper has had some damage in the past and not been repaired very well. Also a carbon wing but this would only be done once I have a reiger diffuser on the back.

Thoughts ?? :D

Blow gets my vote. Is it ordered yet?

I really can't believe that BMW cheaped out in not fitting an LSD on the bigger engines. In my list of wants is to change mine as well.

Visually is difficult as there are few decent options for the front, the M bumper is the best of those though.

Talking about the Diff, I was speaking with a BMW tech the other week and he was telling me that the DTC system makes it act like an LSD which makes sense after brands a few weekends back. But you don't get the speed through the corners like an LSD.

I wished I could have afforded a coil over set up for mine, a nice mod to add to any car.

Can the DTC system be disable if your fitting the LSD or work in conjunction with it?

If your car is a keeper Lee the turbo is worth it but I would think again if you intend to sell at some point as you I don't think you would recoup that money back or might even put some people off buying if they feel that the car has had a hard life with bolted on turbo. Just food for thought that you probably have researched but can these engines take the extra power generated from a turbo?

The DTC system will interact with the car differently having an LSD. It's the characteristics of the open diff that make it cut in.

It's actually a centrifugal super charger the N52 engine can handle anything up to 6.5psi without working a sweat. Two guys I've been speaking with are now on 20,000 miles with the same kit. Seems all is well. Totally agree about the cost, I don't expect to get anything back money wise, after all its an expensive hobby of mine.

Thinking long term I have no plans to change the coupe, I would buy another car instead of selling the coupe. :D

Still sat on the bench at the back. We just started Nialls M and I promised the wifes a rebuild. In the mean time I need to book a rolling road. :D

Gets my vote as even at my age I would do the same, my hobby has no price on it. Just a bank manager for a wife. If we sell up sooner rather than later goodness knows what I'll end up with, love your coupe with that rear spoiler, it deserves that extra punch you really want to give it and so do you, just stay safe when you've done it.

Roy.

Would it not be better to PX for a M Coupe, then go from there?:)

I had the option to buy the m coupe from the off but opted for the Si due to mileage and what I use the car for. I sold my Z3M months before after doing 30,000 in less than two years. The amount of work/money involved keeping the engine sweet got to me.

Look at it another way, 80bhp less and 40mpg :D

Yes to this aero bumper on a darker colour like yours.
The Z4M bumper is very tame unless on a brsight colour I feel.
As for LSD, charger and suspension - hell yes!

Check out 'Gripper' diffs for a clutch pack diff that can be tweaked as you like - I believe there is a lot you can do with setting up clutch pack diffs exactly how you like it @Martyn Scott was telling me about how his race car diff is set up for oversteer on certain corners at Brands. Made think it's just what I need to tackle a tricky roundabout on the way to the office :)
