oh another thing.

the missus reported the yellow battery light has come back on today........

so I put some more antifreeze into the battery filling compartment under the bonnet to turn the light back off

But what a coincidence to have an alternator fault at the same time this light was coming on

I take it you have given her some light reading (drivers handbook) for future reference?
