Hi and welcome from Mansfield. You got a good assistant in @Brian4. Every time I ask a question the same handful of peeps jump in with the answers. Brian is always in that handful. I love the comardory on this forum! Well done everyone!:thumbsup:

Well it's finally on the road past its mot will definitely need some bottom arms as the steering is very wooly and I'm pretty sure the gear stick could be tightnd up its seems very saggy is there any bushes that can be changed to stiffen it up

You have a choice of OEM quality replacement bushes, or you could go the PowerFlex Poly bush route. Personally for road use I've stuck with OEM quality and really don't want to make the ride too stiff.

I believe you can change out the bushes and you may glean some info from Mike Fishwick's article on the short shifter. HTH JIM

Well the fuel gauge still don't move it did then it's gone straight to empty
Sounds like a loose wire to the unit, gauge or ground wire. Hopefully you don't have to change out the in tank unit. I'd start with a tester at your gauge. JIM

I had the instrument panel out of my car on Saturday and stripped it down to its component parts to rectify an earlier cock up. I will post a how to if anyone is interested with lots of pictures. It will cover changing the gauge itself if you need it @Millhouse.

Tony.

That will be great Tony, my temp gauge has stopped working. It would work before if I tapped the glass but no more. JIM
