I thought all had both motors its easy to check if you look i suppose and if only fitted with one i imagine the switch would indicate this too ?

Not sure on that one.it goes forwards and back ok
Always thought only drivers that goes up and down.
These cars are so different,no such thing as a standard z3???

My sports seats when i got them had an issue with just back and forward but it was just the screw that drives the lift that was gunked up and the frame was just used to being in one place.
Once freed it works a dream
