I have a Perspex one from here

They are on eBay, but cheaper buying from them.
Never use the storage box, and the Perspex holds my digital aerial in place
But, Perspex is ok at lower speeds but once you get over 80, there is a lot of wind.

They do less than 80?

I had a minor lapse earlier this year going over Shap, 3 lanes and I was in the BMW lane with not a sole to see, worked very well at just over 4500rpm (in 2nd)

There are different styles depending on if you have roll hoops or not

I've used both extensively. Can't say I've noticed any real difference between mesh and Perspex in terms of wind blocking performance. The Perspex does let you play with height a bit as you can put it slightly higher than a mesh one.

Either way I wouldn't drive without one. Massive difference.

a big thanks to all for the comments and advice, i have decided it a perspex deflector for me.
i feel it will not reduce the vision out the back window any more, as the plastic window has discoloured over the years.

Here's another option, its perspex but gives you a bit more freedom as it slides out so when it rains you don't have to get out of the car to close the roof, (thats if is manual of course) also gives access to the storage box and there is no unsightly straps.

Good choice Andy there are many members using them so must work well. You can buy a new zip in window fairly cheap from a German co on eBay UK to solve your discoloured window
