I woukd have to disagree with that. I dont find theres any more wind at that speed than with the mesh one. 
They do less than 80?I have a Perspex one from here

They are on eBay, but cheaper buying from them.
Never use the storage box, and the Perspex holds my digital aerial in place
But, Perspex is ok at lower speeds but once you get over 80, there is a lot of wind.

I had a minor lapse earlier this year going over Shap, 3 lanes and I was in the BMW lane with not a sole to see, worked very well at just over 4500rpmMines mesh and fine at all speeds. No figures given for obvious reasons![]()

There are different styles depending on if you have roll hoops or not
