They look nice Gaz, but to have wires you need the spinners too and hub adapters. Bolt ons are not pukka. An interesting place you guys have come across.

The point is that there are options available. The bolt ons are relatively cost effective and give the desired look. Alternatively they can get hub converters made which if I recall are about £400 a set (don't quote me) and then you can fit "real" wire wheels from wherever you can get hold of a set.

All down to what you wanna pay...

He did also have a set of Dayton wire wheels in the back of his garage - pics below...

i do really like wire wheels, though as the pic above shows you do have to be careful when choosing them, for some reason they do work as smaller rims unlike alloys that work better larger, yeh odd isnt it

Did someone mention wire wheels? Today on a Zed Shed outing we encountered not one, but three Z3's based kit cars wearing wire wheels. Two of which had straight bolt ons, and one which used hub modifiers so you can fit Jag E-Type or Morgan wire wheels.

The two pictures below are wire wheels made by http://www.mws.co.uk/. Supposedly they are happy to discount for cash purchases. Worth a look if you guys are interested...
