Wheel Spacers - Again

I'm going to treat the Zed to a early Christmas present - wheel spacers.

I know to get hub-centric ones but which are the best type? Ones which bolt to the hub first then use your existing wheel bolts or the ones which come with extended bolts?

I have only ever fitted hubcentric with longer bolts,i think the bolt on bolt too type are more expensive and theres been chat on here before discussing pros and cons.
If torqued correctly the extended type are fine as said never had issue like most things its personal preference and what you feel is the best.

Mine had the extended wheel bolts mate, they have been put through their paces with no trouble,
They are from Demon Tweeks and are 15mm rear only £35

My skoda has audi s4 wheels with extended bolt spacers due to the offset no problems 4 years down the road

The ines that bolt to the hubs are min 25mm so for the rear only.
I run 25mm rear and 12mm front on my 78's.
Hubcentric with extended bolts but have now gone to a stud conversion with extended shiny nuts

You can just see the poking out below.
90mm studs all around but could have gone for 75mm for the front (90mm allows for up 25mm spacer).

Yep they are standard 78's like yours.
However mine is lower which affects things at the rear- the lower you go the more they tuck hence 25mm on mine but as your car is standard 20mm is probably fine I think, just measure up to be sure as yours always looks a bit lower in pics to me than standard.

No issues with rubbing at the rear. A bit of rub on the front arch liners on mid corner bumps.

Cheers Dino, mines a sport so it is already lowered - I think about 30mm. There is already some rubbing marks on the front liner, evidence that she has worn spacers or different offset wheels at some time in her past.

Like many owners I wasn't happy with the way my wheels didn't fill the facelift rear arches.. so on advice of another member I fitted 20mm hubcentric bolt-through spacers from Mtech on rear and the style 64's 7.5J 45 offset now fill rear arches perfectly and gives the car a much better stance. I am now considering fitting 10mm/12mm on front.

Mtech products are very well engineered and I have had no issues.

I have 20mm bolt on wheel adapters on the rear - had them on for over three years - seem fine to me.

Having now measured my wheels, I'm not sure it's worth putting ones on the front. Seem a lot of faff for 5mm, - 10mm at most.

Funnily enough minty l just did the same.. took a closer look at car and with 20mm just on the back all 4 corners look just about right and tbh adding 10mm on the front would be so neglible and extra expense for little gain.. it was only ever about the rear wheels and how they sat so far inside the facelift rear arches..

i've run spacers for years on most of my cars and NEVER had a problem, even on track.

just bolt them up properly and enjoy the stance

Pauline,Dave will have to fit them when they arrive to make sure they fit the car.......followed by an extended test run to check durability .
