It's worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it.
It's a lovely car and looks to be fully sorted buy and drive. But as others said mileage might put some off but as long as mechanically sound shouldn't be an issue.
My view it's better to buy a good one ready to go with no issues, others might want a cheap bargain with lots needing doing that cheap bargain will turn out expensive in the end.
You makes your choices.
Good luck with sale.

116,000 on a 1999 car isn't high mileage by any stretch of the imagination. Average miles on a car of that year would likely be 190,000.

I think Sean is nearer with his original view to be fair. We all know a 116k engine is good to go but being the wrong side of 100k is a psychological barrier. And it is a 2.0 not a 2.8 or 3.0.

But it's a stunning car that's had a lot of love so who knows if the right person comes along. Personally I prefer to get the price in the right place to start with rather than fish at a higher price but that's a personal matter.

Only my opinion Sean, consideration of the work you have put in must play a part here, its not just another Zed to be fair, I would start 4k to 4.5k and really be absolutely clear in the advert exactly what you have done to the car to get it where it is. I know there's those that will say well its only another Zed, but that's not the case, there are those buyers that want a cheap Zed just to bang around the lanes for a summer then move it on, that's not this car, and those buyers that want a loved car and something individual and are prepared to pay for the privilege of owning one.
Personally I don't think it will be hanging around long, its a much admired Zed on here. GLWTS

A forum member who has seen all your work will pay the prices quoted, getting someone from the public to do it is completely different. There are so many zeds on the market which are a lot cheaper so they won't bother looking at the higher priced ones. You need to get them in front of the car, then you will have no problem selling it. But it's getting people to come and look.

I had it with my 2.0, it was one of the nicest and most sorted around. It had done 127,000 odd thousand miles but was mechanically perfect and had a recent new roof and the bodywork didn't need anything doing. I priced it at £2200, had no interest at all apart from an older gentleman who lived quite far away. In the end we agreed at £1800 including another set of wheels, without him seeing it. I just wanted it gone and when he came to me he couldn't believe the condition, he said he had looked at a load which were all tatty and nowhere near the condition of mine. He snapped my hand off, I was gutted it went for so little compared to others but then I had no interest at all because it was priced higher than the rest.

If you can get people to your door it will sell instantly, but pricing it higher than the others just makes people not look, although you have no choice as it worth the price all day long. Ideally you need someone that knows the car to buy it, they know all the hard work. time and money that's gone into it and will no doubt pay your asking price. A member of the public will think it's just another high priced zed looking through the adverts. We all know it's not but they don't, unless you get them to your door.

I really hope it sells quickly and to someone who will look after and maintain it as well as you have.

I had this when l advertised my 56,000 mile 3.0 which is in near concourse condition
Nobody came to view the car, l fielded various conversations about service history and previous owners.
One guy wanted to buy it over the phone and get it collected once l was happy with the bacs transfer.
I told him to view the car, we agreed a price/date and l took it off sale but he never arrived and l then found out he’d bought a different one!
That’s what you get for trying to do the right thing!
I never re advertised it after that as l’d lost heart.
It’s still here if anybody fancies a pristine Topaz Blue/cream leather 3.0 M Sport with HT

I would swap over the interior from the 2.0 to the 2.8.

Possibly the facelift headlights too if you like the chrome ring look.

Sourcing a sports interior as good as that must be over 1k in parts, dye and not to mention time.

Then sell the HT and fitting just separately (sprayed in the colour of the buyers choice, say 1k ish)

Possibly sell the Z4 wheels separately but maybe leave them on as it will make for a quicker sale. Then put it up for £1,995

Adding the hardtop sale and the interior value and you get your 4K + value.
