Ok guys, now I have the 2.8 I am considering letting the 2.0l go sooner rather then later,
I am selling it complete as it is with the hardtop,
It has 116k and as most of you know has been extensively refurbished both body and mechanics,
I'm just not sure where to value it, I am realistic and thinking around the 3-3.5 k mark or is that too much.

Don't know if this helps Sean but a mate of mine just bought a 2.8 for £700 so that puts a 2.0 around £500 if that helps:whistle:

It's a bargain at that price Sean. Around a £1k for the seats, another £1k for colour matched hard top and fitting kit. I'd ask £4.5 or offers

I'd say start high mate, you can always come down a bit. Put a full detailed package of the works carried out for punters (less those on here, just your Progress Thread link). £3.5k, Just coming up to spring, is where I'd put it at. GLWTS.

At 3.5k it should fly away its as good an example as you will find and unique. Mileage may put a few off but as you say it's mechanically sound so anyone that knows BMW engines it's no real issue.
Get someone stood in front of it and they will not be able to say know I'm sure :thumbsup:GLWTS Sean

There are plenty of 1.9's for sale at dealers with £4k plus price tags.

I'm with Garry here mate. I would definitely start looking for £4,500 or keep the top and fitting kit and start with £3,750. It's a stunning car Sean, and will sell itself. Good luck mate.

Tony.

Always difficult to put a value on someone else's car.
But personally I wouldn't want to accept less than 4k as it stands with the h.t etc.
It is a unique zed and very well presented.

Good luck Sean.

It’s in excellent condition and worth every penny at £4K with hardtop.

I agree with all the previous comments, it is an exceptional car and worth £4.5K of anyones money but don't get disheartened if it doesn't go quickly. It is worth waiting for the right buyer.

Thanks Mike, I'm in no rush as I have plenty to do on the new one

Quite likely to get 4k for it from a member on here but may struggle to find someone not in the know to pay that much with the number of Z's out there currently for sale. People will be reluctant because of the mileage which we all know is not that important if the car has been looked after. If mine wasn't so good and had high mileage I would have been knocking on your door.

What a car for £4500. These larger engine Z3’s are a bargain at the moment.
Hopefully they will remain affordable and not go the way of many other “modern classics”
And l am saying that as the owner of a show condition 3.0 M Sport.
