pound for pound Rugby is far better, the wage cap on rugby clubs wouldn't buy a half decent premiership football player, cant remember what it is in England around 7 million a season for rugby. The spectacle yesterday, a superbly contested game it lived up to expectations, and once again Warren read it right. England lacked the ability to alter tactics, the coaching style diminishes flair I'm afraid. I've been playing coaching rugby since I was 11, only stopped due to a knee replacement. now my lad has taken over the family mantle & I'm happy to say he's a bloody good player too.
now lets see what Wales can do to send Saint Gatland off on a high.

And best of luck to Datchworth in their game next week against local rivals Stevenage, this should be a promotion decider for the league.

Soft Try Given to England, I thought that England would give us a real tough game, but to be fair they really never bothered the boyos, Wales controlled the game from start to finish except the soft try given to England, Disappointed that Wales still need to get the lineouts sorted, Gatland knew exactly what to do, Once Biggar came on it was curtains for England.

Didn't watch the game but those I've spoken to from the egg chasing fraternity tell me the best team won. Very rarely does the best team lose and for good reason. England just don't turn up on occasion when against the home Nations in any sport which is misguided as the other home Nations will always want the bragging rights of having beaten the bigger Country, and rightly so.

That aside, England being the centre of the Universe are duty bound to give all other Countries a fighting chance ....... either that or we're just pants :whistle:
 
England were crap, it was embarrassing to watch if I'm honest. A game of 2 halves, we didn't turn up for the 2nd one.:(

Well you have certainly done that a lot of times over the years.
We were all worried about England's performance against Ireland, came as a bit of a shock to us Celts England Winning them, but goes to show that any of the home nations are capable of beating each other.
But I am soooooooooo Glad we gave them a trouncing, anything else is a Bonus, And yes England were well and truly trounced on Saturday.
 
Were England Crap? Well yes they were, but Wales just made them look Crap, England came into the match looking to use the kicking game which won them the Ireland Match, but Wales controlled them and slowly turned up the pressure. England Looked lost and were not able to cope with what wales were doing.
 
And, speaking of kicking, if the Italians had had a decent kicker yesterday they too would've beaten the Irish.

There we have it, Wales crowned as 6 Nations Grand Slam winners. Richly deserved. Oh, England V Scotland, WTF happened their FFS :wideyed: well played Scotland :arghh:
 
Just looking at Wales on line pubs in city had delivery of between 120 and 160 barrals each for today
Son is in Cardiff.
 
So this is a game played by big blokes with bigger ears, crooked noses and an odd shaped ball, where the point is to hit the ball over the goal rather than in it. Sorry guys, don't get it :-):-)
 
While our village pub has been closed some of my fellow villagers watch the games up in our farmers and friends shoot room with a kitty in place and some one takes a turn at providing a half time snack to soak up some of the beer.

Talk about a game of two half’s .I think our village must have hexed the match today at half time with our snack of Haggis, tatties, nipes and some quality aberlour. Come World Cup it’s going to be English half time snacks:D A good game of two half’s for either side and a fair full time result.

Congrats to you Welsh supporters. Wales have been more or less consistent throughout the tournament and are deserving grand slam winners.
 
Can I firstly say well done to Wales,and that this 6 nations has shown some pretty good rugby from all teams. Now for just a little rant (brought on by frustration) How can we "Scots" play two halves of a game so differently, and why would you kick away possession with 2 mins to go. Good result at the end of the day for a nation with only two professional teams to pick players from, thanks to the SRU.
 
I could not believe it. Scotland had the game in the bag, and then gave England a stupid penalty, truly shocked at the team doing that what were they thinking of.
