Just wondering about the front one, and should it have a cover? The rear one appears to be part of the electrical distribution system.

This is obviously the normal code reader

Can't find reference to the former in the manual, but might be me!
Thank you

Nice rocker cover!:)
@Aceman was doing Cam Covers but I won't bother linking to the old thread as the photos have gone.
Bloody Photobucket.

On offer are totally refurburbished Cam Covers and Plenum chambers which have been professionally powder coated in satin black. The M Power logo is polished so they look brand new and really finish off the engine bay.

Yes, manual:thumbsup: Nice rocker cover!:)
Have looked through the ETM but no luck so far. Presume your car runs ok without it ;) so am thinking auto may be the difference( grasping straws.) Need somebody else with an M44 manual to confirm what they have.

Thanks, hopefully a M44 manual transmission owner will be along soon! Yes, the car runs fine, just looks like something is missing!:(

I have a 1999 1.9 M44 engine with manual gearbox and I have the same cover missing. Mine runs okay without the cover as well

Any idea what the "plug" is for? Not sure if a cover is missing or whether there isn't supposed to be one? Just looks odd as is.

Definitely looks like it should have a cover but as it doesn't affect the running I haven't bothered with it

@jonco, does your automatic M44 have ASC? If so, Brian4 has likely cracked it. That said, there are wires attached to it!
