Welcome To The Photography Forum

Those photos are brilliant and dramatic, Gill, so crisp and the reflection view is so still, brings back memories of our weekend! You'll be soon taking action pics of Gary, like the one when he represented GB.

Used to have a Canon EOS DSLR, but when updating recently I realised I was quite fed up with all the gear that you have to carry about with a DSLR, so instead bought the Canon 'Bridge' camera (model: SX50HS). Has a 50x optical zoom (will go lot further digitally) and lots and lots of the features you get with their 'normal' DSLRs. So far, only been able to get as far as using it on 'Auto' setting (learning more of its features will be a project for the coming winter nights!). A small selection of pics taken with it so far:

These 2 shots taken from the same point, using the zoom:

Great shots there Shaun. I also have a bridge camera but it's a Panasonic.

Just seen this thread my main camera is a Canon 300D which I purchased when they first hit the market and cost me just over £800 and
has to date taken over 10,000 photos. This always goes with me on holiday and track days.
The camera that lives in the 'M' is a Fujifilm Finepix F480 which gets used all the time.

About 2 years ago i got one of these, as i did not want a full SLR so i got a Fuji 1000s

great budget camera only about £130
