We were broken into last night.

I have a very good friend high up in the police and she was talking to us the other week saying that cut backs are that tight now burglaries are now below call out level, so unless someone is physically badly assaulted or worse it's rare you will see a copper, you will just be given a crime number for insurance reasons.

We are getting the poorest service from our Police forces nowadays, all down to funding/austerity.

I don't see the politicians cutting their salaries and pensions, and you can bet the amount of Policing around their Palace is the highest it's ever been.

All most senior Police officers need to get down to Westminster and tell the ministers to behave them selves as they're putting their public in danger.

Something seriously needs to happen.

If the public start to feel they can't rely on the Police the outcome will be that they will feel the need to take the law into their own hands to protect them selves and their property.

This was Tony Martins view, if anyone remembers that one.

Yes the Farmer who shot someone breaking in. All the Authorities wanted to do was lock him up for protecting himself

Sorry to read this, and I hope you get a chance to find out who did it. The police probably know and are not pushing it because they will get let off with a caution or a suspended sentence. Sad but true.

Best alarm you can get is a warble tone.. it goes between the two frequencies and is so bad to stay in the room with it you just have to leave. Stick a warning up though as I am sure some ‘ no win no fee’ s*** would say you damaged little Johnie’s hearing. And probably win.

Look for your tools on gumtree, eBay and Facebook. Then go and pay a visit with a few friends to recover the said items.

I have a Webley .22 air pistol that lives in the drawer next to my bed. It lives with a pellet permanently up the spout and only needs "breaking" to arm it. It might not be lethal but I for one would not fancy getting hit with it . . . . .

Tony.

I have a (ornamental of course) Samurai sword - you wouldn't want to argue with that:)

I have no time at all for career politicians but to refer to them not cutting thier salary when the highest paid MP is only on a fraction of that paid to senior police officers seems unfair. Is the alleged shortage of funding in the police force wholly due to reduction in funds or the fantastic package of police pay including 24% pension contribution paid to police to enable the early age they retire at.
It seems like the police have options as to which crimes to tackle (motorists) and which to ignore (burglary)
Of coarse we have the chance every few years to get rid of politians (but the replacements seem as bad) but have no say or control over the police . Even the police commissioners now seem to be politicians or ex police officers.
The whole system needs changing.

These people are low life scum not only have they stolen your tools they have stolen your livelihood

The wife and I sleep naked.....I don't need a gun=)) I would probably get sued for ABH of the eyes!!!

An old colleague always recommended a gander and a couple of geese for sentry duty. A senior police officer gave me a recommendation but then pointed out it was illegal.

Well I hope find the person or persons who have done this, are found.
I have no time for people who have light finders.
Know one thing most of the time, they don't get what they should get.
