I'm not that far away from Anglesey, got a 2.2 of my own so got a rough idea what to expect, could go for a look if you like. Won't be till Thursday/Friday but quite happy to drive about a bit.
And if the bonnet don't open, MOT fail. Unless things have changed since I last did them.

Thanks for the offer, perhaps when everything is sorted you could bob up if your not busy, but will between 2-4 weeks before he can sort it.

Still impatiently waiting on this 2.2...

I did however come across a 1998 2.8, similar miles and out of curiosity done an insurance quote on compare the meerkat & I was very surprised that it came in at £500 less than the 2.2!

Can never get my head around how insurance companies work their figures

Yeah I know, just had my van fail the MOT...£500 quids worth of work required.

Did you go and view the 2.8 while your waiting? Got to be worth it you never know you might walk away with that instead.

No I've not, I've spoke to the guy and seems ok. Will need a new bonnet.
It's a long way away from me, plus it's a few hundred more than what I was looking at.
I'm just gonna wait till I've got all the cash in my hand and see what happens.
