Yeah it's a shame the mileage is high, bare in mind the engine is easily good for 300,000 miles, our cousins across the pond keep proving this.

The roof cover is off Sam's zed. Didn't want to move the car and open the garage to put it in. I've also fix the A pillar corners so it gives them enough time to dry.
 
The colour is very attentive. ;)
If I never had a Zed I would have it someone will get a smashing car ideal first time buy or someone that needs a better one.
Great car brought back to scratch nice work.

I know this is an old thread, so quite possibly no one will see this comment, but as the current owner of this amazing Z3 I often come and read the original post by @Lee just to admire how much work went into the restoration of my baby. But I'd be interested to know the reg plate of the 2nd velvet that you salvaged the body parts from so I could look up its history.
I love the fact that I can honestly say that I (technically) own TWO out of the 80 velvets that were made available in the UK.
If any of the Zedshed guys know what the reg plate was, I would be very grateful!!!
 
It doesn't matter how old a thread is @EmmaDamian if you post on it it revives it right back to the top of the heap. Ooh and @Lee is probably nursing a hangover =))

Yeah I got the email this morning saying someone had commented on the thread.

@EmmaDamian I spotted an advert years ago a guy selling all his body panels because he was converting his z3 into a cobra kit car. He was over Norfolk way. Never took any other photos. I can’t even remember where I saw the advert. Sorry :)
