ULEZ result!!

I'm even more confused now.. So if anyone can explain what I'm misunderstanding I'd be grateful

My car is a 2002 Z3 3.0 fitted with an M54 engine.. According to TFL it's ULEZ exempt

Currently if I want to drive into Birmingham or Bristol I have to pay as it fails their clean air zone regulations apparently

I applied to BMW and got the Conformity report which shows a nox of 0.009

Just about to stick it in the post along with my V5c to DVLA when I look at that and see exactly the same readings are on my V5c as on the BMW report

So what exactly am I asking the DVLA to change so I can pop into Bristol and Birmingham without having to pay the charge they say I currently do?

... And why if it currently showing on my V5c exhaust emissions lower than required by Birmingham and Bristol does their system require I pay??

*confused*

I don't think you need to do anything with the DVLA. I think you need to contact B'ham and Bristol and ask why they want you to pay the clean air zone fee when your vehicle meets the Euro IV emissions limits. If you provide proof, they *should* at least provide an explanation.

OK but where are they getting their data that says my vehicle doesn't meet Euro 4 when the details on the V5c show it clearly does!

I would agree, you would like to think they are efficient at checking the data.
However they probably just figure if it's an old car it must be liable.
ChrisD advice is spot on, write to them and advise them you car is perfectly OK.

Also ask what limit(s) have been imposed.

Tony.

OK been busy today trying to sort this out.. In summary as of yesterday my V5c was showing the same vehicle emissions as the Conformity report supplied by BMW.. The car was listed as being ULEZ compliant for London but not Birmingham or Bristol so I'd have had to pay there..

I found this link and filled it in and to be fair they came back very quickly and I uploaded to them a copy of my V5c and also the BMW report.. Within a few hours they came back to me and said it would all be sorted!

And it was to be fair so now I'm exempt from clean air charges in the whole country (at the moment till they move the goalposts again!)
