Hi Kev, my car had a deflector when I bought it, not sure of how it attached but I've had hoops, etc installed and if they are what you're looking for could be yours for postage as I won't need them. My car is clearing customs and once it has and is in storage will have a better idea of what I have. Will have my friend that is storing it to send pics, just not sure when. I think the deflector is there also along with two others for the roll bars I have. Sorry if this is a bit jumbled but I've only had pics. JIM

Hey Jim this what the mountings are like on my deflector, I'm not sure which type of deflector this is but you can see where they push into the tubes at the rear of the seats with a rubber disc on top View attachment 5600 which seals the hole from dust etc. I presume.

Just wondered if this is the same as the one Kev has.

Hi T-tony, I'm not posative, maybe Kev or someone can put a diagram or pic of a type 1 deflector up in this thread. I think he needs the type that doesn't have hoops. Like I say I could be wrong and if I ever am maybe I'll be the first to point it out.( but not likely) lol. I seem to have lost my original pics of the one on my car as purchased and even so don't know how to post them from my phone. I'm sure that there are many members that will jump at the chance to clarify this for us, we just need to give them a chance. If all else fails, god forgive me, I'll ask HT but that will likely get us another grunge video. JIM

Thanks for your replies, just to confirm my z3 has NO roll hoops and the deflector is the one that has a "tail" that clips to the rear of the rear cubbybox if that helps, the above picture from Tony is a type 2deflector

Thanks Kev, I believe that's the type that was in my car as purchased. I've had hoops with the appropriate deflector installed, if so once the car clears customs and I can have my friend take a look at it if those brackets are there you're welcome to them for the price of postage. Car is definitely on Canadian soil so shouldn't take too long to find out. JIM

Hi Kev, I am looking for the same brackets and I have a Wanted ad on this forum for sometime. I have written to many BMW specialists world over for these brackets and so far no luck. I give below a photo of the loack cylinders downloaded from the AV website. If I find a source here in Australia I will let you know.

Hi Kev, car should be transported Monday sometime but my friend is away for a golf weekend so probably will be pretty shakey for pic taking.lol but if they're still on the car will get the pics taken.
Aussie, don't know if locks were included on my car but if so the same offer goes, pay postage and they're your's. I have two sets of hoops and original wind deflectors so can't see a use for the stuff that was on the car when purchased. JIM

Thanks, Jim for the offer. One of the lock cylinders is broken and the keys misplaced by the previous owner. Look forward to see a photo of your car.

No problem, my car is still at customs in Halifax but should clear Monday when it will be transported and stored at my friend's home until I can fly out and drive it the 3500km home. Hopefully next week I can get pics and figure out how to load them from my iPhone. JIM
