Fly to Malaga or almeria and drive the Sierra Nevada it's spectacular little towns for lunch, pennies. Stayed in a cave in Guadix just buy a drink and you can eat all night.contact these guys and they'll take you on a riding trip around the mountains.http://www.sulayrtrails.com/en/ and they have sheep.Or of course you could do worse than visit Wales .weather unpredictable ,welcome always.

The cost of things are considerably cheaper if you go to the less well known places in Spain also. We stayed in Cala Bona last year and a pint of beer was €1.50 which is considerably cheaper than the €6.20 we were paying in the rest of Europe in which we travelled

Try the Croatian coast on the Adriatic, that is where I fell in love with the Z3 back in 2008.
A friend of mine worked nights at a casino in Portoroz, Slovenia and if I was not working, I would borrow his Z during the day and drive all over the place, Slovenia, Croatia, Italy.
Well worth a visit, believe me.....

HT is right, the road on the coast is wonderful! Luckily I can do it again, for each trip to Italy.
And in Sept Oct is almost empty, no traffic at all! The scenery is also breath taking.

And Grumpy & Jue do not have to worry about the food as they don't eat horse down there, only loads of beef, pork and fish.
Oh, forgot to mention Grumpy, there was horse meat in your cold buffet after the cruise in the Netherlands.....

You could go to Thailand... They have military coups all the time but it's still business as usual when it comes to tourism....long flight though... But the extra you spend on a flight you can get back with lovely cheap Thai food and beer.

We've done the canaries several times mate and the last one was the last straw! It was run down, a lot of places boarded up due to all inclusive holidays. Certainly look into the other two tho tar.
Its a no brainer mate, gets overlooked all the time, when they said to me "you are going to Slovenia" I said where?
Best part of the world I have ever been to, worked there from 2005 to 2008, fantastic people, very friendly, had a great time.
Used to buy a whole pig (on expenses, obviously..
) and the local butcher would cook it in a pit in the ground for a couple of days and then we would have a mega party at my mates bar.
