So very true @Mint family even before Zeds! Always! The gloss will be the easiest to maintain also. I replaced mine with a satin set and although I'm happy with the look they always appear dull so spring will see the paint gum come out, I think, JIM

Always easier to polish gloss and then the flies don't stick as well. Yes, they will dare to plaster themselves all over your new coat of paint mate.:(

Cooking pan spray is your friend with bugs and flys. Rodders over here use it all the time and I can personally say it works!! JIM

Looks like it's all going smoothly and will soon be done.
Is there going to be a big reveal that we can all come to see and then drool over that fabulous smooth shiny new paintwork?
You could sell tickets to help pay for it all.;)

Another trip to see her this afternoon, she looks fantastic:thumbsup:. She's all but finished now. Just waiting for the clear coat to harden a bit more before a final polish. She's all back together apart from the bonnet and boot BMW badges. These pics are as she is now, straight from the spray booth - no polish yet.

Think I may try re-colouring it first. It's not too bad and it's watertight.

Yes Mark, I'll drive home very slowly:rolleyes:, and try to avoid the puddles. Unfortunately with all the rain over the last few days the puddles are right across the lane we live on. Very slowly through there I think:)

Looking good Dave. Look forward to seeing it in the flesh. It's going to be like a spoilt child. All wanting and smug! Arghhh!

Picked her up this morning, she looks fantastic. No photos yet as it was raining when I got home and she's tucked up under some sheets atm. Here are some photos of when she was in the spray booth given to me by the chap who sprayed her (some better than others, but beggars can't be choosers):
