That sliding the cars along those rails is a good idea, must save a lot of faffing in the workshop.
Good progress Bill, be great to see it completed.

It was good as he gave me a tour of the workshop including the paint mixing area and showed me how they get different shades which was quite interesting

I wish I'd had half the treatment your getting Bill. These places just see it as another job yet it costs a lot of money to have a full respray. I paid £2600 and as you know it was a complete shambles. This was a large multi site company and lesson learnt. It'll be a small firm in the future.

The guy is a car nut. He has a VW R32 that he has painted. They do wheel refurbs as well and a full colour change is around £50 so might get the 3SDM 01 Alloys done as he said i can have as much sparkle in the silver as i want

Looks almost purple in the 1st picture Bill. Like my Oxford Green Z3 it looked almost black in some lights.

Just a quick update. Zed will be ready Monday so due to work i will be picking it up next Saturday. They were not happy with some of the finishes so went over last Saturday to have a look and the red fleck is spot on. They needed to redo the doors for some reason and have a couple of staff issues which has caused a delay in getting it done. I did know the Manager was going on holiday last Monday and he has kept me updated whilst he is away.
Hopefully post some more pics up when they send me some over

2 little issues the paint shop need to sort out. A dimple in the paint and an area about half inch at the edge of bonnet near the wing that has too much paint build up. I told them i will have it a couple of weeks to give it a good going over and then re book it in to get the 2 issues sorted.
Really pleased with the final out come and they reckon we are their most fastidious customers they have had so far =))
