Event Thoresby Hall 31st August

Hi all - I just phoned Throrseby Hall events team and they say Its a case of "Watch this Space".
They have issued their plans (for 31st Aug) to the local council Safety Advisory Group (which include the Emergency Services) and they expect a response by Wednesday.
If the response is positive then that's only half the battle because Thoresby Hall falls under Newark and Sherwood and these are now on Govt watchlist for a rise in Covid-19 cases .................... the separate Event organiser ( to whom we paid) is probably still waiting for the all clear before Tickets will be issued by email.........
so we need the council to give the all clear to Thoresby Hall plans, the Govt not to issue a local lock down and the Event organiser to release tickets and there is less than 2 week to go........keep fingers and toes crossed ( and even then we need to pray for decent weather !!!)

It's literally the most northern part of the Newark and Sherwood district as well. Across the road is another local authority! Oh well, fingers crossed.

Email from Classicshows says the show at Capesthorne in Cheshire on that weekend is on, but a decision on Thoresby is expected by the weekend.

Still no news on this so it's not looking promising. Got an email saying that the Cheshire one is getting a lot of bookings. No wonder as everything else has been cancelled!

I'm sure most of you will get the email update, but for those who haven't: ​ UPDATE ON POTENTIAL THORESBY PARK EVENT 30-31 AUGUST 2020

​ We are continuing to work with the relevant authorities with a view to obtaining approval to running this two-day event next weekend. Unfortunately, this process remains ongoing and we do not currently have a decision. In consideration of the amount of work required to plan for the event – specifically in relating to the processing and issuing of tickets – if have not obtained approval for the event to go ahead by close of business on Monday 24 August it will be necessary to cancel the event. Please be advised we are doing everything we can to get this event approved. Thank you for your patience during these uncertain times.

I think if it's cancelled it's possible to use the tickets booked to change to another show. Maybe the Cheshire one, if it's not full. It's near Macclesfield so a drive over the Peak District to get there. Still hoping Thoresby goes ahead.

UPDATE ON THORESBY PARK EVENT
Despite considerable efforts between all parties, we have yet to receive the final approval to run this event this Bank Holiday weekend. In an attempt to provide certainty to our customers – and mindful of the work required to process all categories of tickets – we have reluctantly taken the decision to postpose this event.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused however in light of the current environment and specifically the situation around COVID-19, we believe this to be the most prudent option in order to ensure the safety of our customers.

We have obtained a provisional agreement with Thoresby Park to reschedule the event as a one-day event on 13 September 2020. In the event that the position relation to COVID-19 does not worsen in the meantime / the areas surrounding Thoresby Park are not subject to second lockdown, then we believe this event will go ahead. We will provide a further update this week hopefully confirming this date and with full details of the position regarding tickets.

In the meantime, if you have already booked any category of ticket this can automatically be used at the rescheduled date, however, in light of track and trace it will be necessary for you to email us at info@classicshows.org to let us know you will be attending on Sunday 13 September (stating your name and phone number or postal address).

Please also note that we are running a 2-day event at Capesthorne Hall in Cheshire this Sunday and Monday. Whilst the Sunday is currently full for exhibitors (due to social distancing requirements), we do have capacity for further exhibitors on the Monday. If you wish to use a Thoresby ticket to attend this event, that is fine but you will need to email us at info@classicshows.org with the track and trace details outlined above and confirm that you wish to attend this event.
