No need to apologise just send money. 😂

Currently it'll be a heatwave, little to no wind and NO RAIN this weekend! Happy days :scorecard:

I have just placed our food order with the pub as they were requested on here but since we are quite a large gathering with a fair spectrum of meals it would be reasonable to expect the possibility of the odd cock up. Because we are all sitting down at the same time the chef will start cooking beforehand, that is fine for most of the mains but I have asked that someone at the restaurant checks with those who have ordered steaks to check how they like them cooked. If you do prefer your steak on the raw side, I would suggest making this clear at the bar as soon as you arrive at the venue.
The only item I could not order was the Meringue Kisses desert that is not on the recently updated menu. Sorry midlifecrisis but if they have nothing else that you like on the night I will give you a peck on the cheek. 😘

Well we are nearly there. Lets hope for some good weather, the trees are looking great (as long as the wind is kind to us)

Just a few pointers some that I will repeat on Sunday morning.
  • Satnav and written route info are on the main post, please download the Satnav routes if you can (I will bring written version for every car).
  • We will be leaving Ross Starbucks 10am SHARP. We will be there by 9am for a natter and a coffee.
  • Remember its not a Hoon, its a slow quiet bimble sort of a day. (NB: The Rozzers seem to be on a mission here lately)
  • You don't have to play follow my leader, feel free to stop and take photos etc, there will be time to catch up at Yat Rock (30Mins), Tintern Abbey (1hr) and Wenchford (15mins). Please can you all get to the Miners by 2pm.
  • You can get a coffee at Yat Rock. Tintern Abbey there is the Anchor Inn and Tea Rooms. You can sit in or out. There are toilets at both locations.
  • Wenchford is a gravel road into a picnic area where there are public toilets for a quick splash and dash, they are normally pretty clean. (sorry its the best I could do)
  • I have included parking costs at Yat Rock & Tintern Abbey in the main thread, its up to you if you pay or not.
  • Please don't park in the Miners Carpark I have arranged parking across the road at Forest of Dean Tyres.
  • Please can everyone settle their own food and bar bills at the Miners before you leave.
  • Anyone seen driving a Roadster with the roof up unless its raining will be photographed and named and shamed on this forum :)
  • Bring your woolly hats its going to be cold.
  • lastly, drive sensibly, enjoy yourselves and stay safe.
We are looking forward to seeing you all.

So looking forward to this. Does a hard top count as the roof up? 😂

Just had a nice run with top down from York to High Peak enjoying the autumn colours. Day two tomorrow, High peak to Ross and looking forward to it. We're from up north, so have packed Suncream and sunglasses, cos it's way down south isnit. 🤔

Just spent yesterday and today breaking open an old set of lights, de-tangoing them, adding high power angels, fitting (reflector safe) Xexon headlights, LED main beams and chrome indicators...

I will be the T*** at the back blinding everyone - still at least youll know we havent lost anyone !!! ;)

York? North? Nah. You're all sutherners. And I can prove it.

All around york on the motorways and A1 there's big geet signs pointing up the road saying "The North". Telling you exactly where the North is - and that you're not in it.

There's probably a rule, or a warning!, somewhere that says north is beyond the river tees.
