The Victor was a b****r to gain entry to, extract the aircrew and shut it down! Especially the pilot and Co-Pilot. Majestic nonetheless though.I loved the Victor and Valliants too.. The Victor in flight was an amazing sight.
@pgunter stunning trio and a genuine part of keeping the Cold War "Cold" being ready to rumble on a one way trip to do the deed over the Warsaw Pact. Not forgetting the mighty TSR2, miles ahead of its time but our hand was forced and we bought the McDonnell Douglas Phantom (no relation, I've checked!) Insted@Andy McDonnell You have to admit though .. The V Force was stunning.. and with blue streak.. we could have made it.. until the yanks took over...

Apart from the rain, the only down side about living on the western most tip of Cumbria is that we very rarely see any fast jets or other typesI am lucky here as I get the planes over heading to southampton. Which during show season is also spitfires and hurricanes. Not seem my fav Mossi for a while though. I just love the sound of two merlins.. Awesome. I will dig out some old photos if I can find them of a show at Middle Wallop many years ago celebrating 50 years of the Spitfire. and they had 50 spitfires flying in formation.. the one and only time its ever been done since WW2.
