If i was going then i would want to come back on the Sunday Tunnel and make the most of it like me and @MAURICE THE MARTIAN did on the last one you arranged. We did the Limborit weekend spa the Grand ballon and then had 3 nights in Ulrichen to do the passes and visit some places such as Grindlewald to see the Eiger and Andermatt for a walk around we then came back through the Grand Ballon staying in Epinal and then had a final stop in St Omer before catching the Tunnel and had the travel home on a nice quiet Sunday.

You have another option as you could do the Grand Ballon after Hockenheim and stay at Mullouse and visit the Schlumpf Museum on the Tuesday, then drive to Ulrichen on the Wednesday and do the Susten and Grimsel Pass stay in the area for 2 nights (Wednesday/Thursday) on the Thursday you can then do the Furka and Nufenen and probably the Gottard passes then head home through the Grand Ballon and stay at Epinal on the Friday then drive to St Omer on the Saturday visiting the old Reims Race track. Me and @MAURICE THE MARTIAN know all these areas quite well and would offer any assistance in Hotels we know and the roads to take and more importantly the pie shops in the Grand Ballon =))

That sounds like a lovely trip, but for some it might be a big jump from what was last time really a long weekend,it was really great doing stuff as a group last year and it would be spectacular getting us all over some swis passes together.but I don't want to put people off

Quite agree Hugh. But If the plan is to come back on the Thursday then most people will be taking the Friday off anyway so in my mind people may as well use the extra days to make a holiday of it and to do something they may only dream of doing. The additional cost will be Fuel and 3 extra nights of Hotels but it would be an experience that will last with them forever. Both you and i know that

If you think the pics are great @Nodzed the actual views will make those pale when you see them!! Some of the finest scenic travel in the world as far as I' m concerned. Sure wish I could visit them all again but unfortunately the birth of my newest grandson in Santiago Chile trumps Europe right now! Enjoy the trip and post lots of pics please! JIM

UPDATE>

I am trying to make this work so people can return on the Thursday 15th. The mileages are stacking up and I would appreciate some input from people please. Thoughts...

Saturday 10th June
Euro Tunnel to Sleneken.
Hotel in Sleneken

Sunday 11th June
The Dutch Run
Hotel in Sleneken

Monday 12th June
Travel to Hockenheim in Germany with late afternoon / evening at the circuit.
Hotel in Hocekenheim

Option 1.
Tuesday 13th June
Hocekenheim to Mulhouse via the Grand Ballon

Wednesday 14th June
Mulhouse to Furkastrasse 55
Hotel Astoria

Thursday 15th June
Return to the Euro Tunnel…
Issue… its 551 to 593 according to Google. So a very long drive back.

Option 2.
Tuesday 13th June
Hocekenheimring to Furkastrasse55 269miles.

Wednesday 14th June
Furkastrasse 55 to Mulhouse and maybe push to Saarbrucken 331 miles approx..
Wednesday night in Saarbrucken

Thursday 15th June
This still leaves 320 miles to the Euro tunnel.

I would appreciate any comments... Its getting very hard to make sure we fit in the days in Switzerland and not have such a long drive back to the Euro Tunnel on the Thursday.

@pgunter Paul me and @MAURICE THE MARTIAN have drove to and from the Hotel Astoria and we can get to around Calais quite comfortably in the time frame mentioned
The best option is Option 2 but you will have to book a late tunnel crossing in case of any hold ups.
We usually stop at Epinal when we get off the Tunnel and it is around a 5 to 6 hour drive.
Ignore the distances as 320 miles in France is a lot easier to do than 320 miles here in the UK
The route from Epinal to Calais is a very easy one which we have never had issues with arriving around 5pm either way
I would totally ignore trying to get from the Furka to the Tunnel in one day other wise you wont have any option to stop as and when you want and will totally drain you all.
Hope this helps

It's totally your call, but if we drive to the hotel Astoria via Grimsel pass .The next day drive furka pass to realp, south to the gottard pass then west nufen pass and either find a local hotel or back to Astoria .it will be the best day of your driving life,or I will sleep in the car .then we can start the homeward journey the next day .you will have a job to leave but you need to relax and take in what you have just done that night a beer and a chance to chat needs to happen after that transcendental experience:)

Totally agree with you Hugh. I think they will after the first day wish they had arranged to stay for another day,
