Should be. I assume the CD changer connection is the same for BMW and Mini then.
Decided to give the car a little bit more privacy today. Based on the 1 time success, I won’t press my luck and try doing window tints, haha

Can someone please help me regarding windscreen washer jets???
Every time i lift the bonnet, a dribble of washer jet fluid comes down from the driver side and it's really annoying.
I've taken pictures underneath the heat shield and think i've spotted why, however i don't know what i need to replace/fix.
The issue is in picture 1 with the clear hose, however this isn't an issue with the other one.
So... do i just need item 9 from the BMW catalogue which is the same setup for the passenger side or do I need item 10 which is a check valve? (Picture 3)
Can someone please share a picture of their setup so i know what i need to do with mine? Thanks

First thing I would do is remove the jet head and give them a blow through with a high pressure hose.
If the leak is coming from a join, I would do is pop to screwfix for some jubilee clips.
If the rubber is perished or starting to crack, replace the tubing.

Thanks for the advice, i'll remove and check it out. I was just assuming that the clear pipe was carrying excess fluid and that was what was seeping through.
Do your washers take a bit of time from pulling the stalk to spraying the washer fluid? Looks like your missing the non return valves (number 10) on both sides. This connects from the end of the hose into the nozzle on the drivers side and between the connector and nozzle fitted on your drivers side. I don’t have the white connector and clear hose on mine, it’s the y adaptor into a small piece of hose then into the non return valve then into the nozzle. The non return valves on mine went and started leaking under the insulation.

A good strip and clean of the whole system will do it some good and with the non return valves it’s pretty instant spraying fluid as it doesn’t need to return back down the system and back up every time.

Always puzzled me when I put some Z8 washers on mine and did order some non return valves for a refresh but none present on mine but never had the dribble problem but now I’m officially in my 50’s I’ll have to keep an eye out on the other dribble potential problem.
It may be a dodgy clip that is causing a dribble and not necessarily the non return valve, there job is to keep fluid from going back down into the washer bottle so it doesn't take ages every time for the fluid to hit the screen on pulling the stalk. When they go dodgy they tend to leak. In @Ryan's case I suspect it maybe coming from the additional clear tube and white connector that has been added, there are no clips holding this in place which may be causing a dribble. You may also need an additional clip to secure a non return valve onto the end of the small black hose from the Y connector as it is missing.
@g8jka can the clips be reused if i take the hose line apart to clean? Or will i need new ones? Looks like a screwdriver would lift the catch off and then pliers to refit? There was evidence of a leak under the bonnet so i think the return valves went and the owner added pipe instead of replacing them.
From what I remember I just pulled the hose off and pushed it back on without having to undo the clips. It looks like you will need one for the drivers side as that one is missing. Like you say the return valves were probably leaking so were taken out. There is a small hole in the side of them and once they go bad they start leaking out of it. I had a pair from Sopers a couple of months back, £9.36 inc postage. You could just use small jubilee clips for the hose if your are unable to use the ones already on the car. I think 2 non return valves, a couple of clips and a could clean out and you should be back up and running.
Update: After playing around with my airbox and making some unusual discoveries about my setup, i've decided not to fit an induction kit to my Z3 now and going for a straight swap on the panel filter for a performance one instead. It won't look as good when the bonnets up but hopefully will add something to the cars performance and noise (fingers crossed)
Hi Ryan, just my feedback on the "performance" panel air filter.
I had one on my 2.8 and it seemed to make no noticeable difference in performance or sound. It was a K+N one.
However the the induction kit I bought from @Jimmy Weston has made a difference.

Thanks for the feedback Steve, it's good to know. I've got to take the rubber hoses off all the way back to the inlet manifold and swap them over if i want to go down this route. Its only £25 for the replacement hoses, but i need to see if its a job i can do. I just have a really weird setup on my 2.2 which includes an air intake resonator boot which when checked is parts from a e39 525i??? No idea why it's on mine?
