Yes they put a slower rack and more castor on the M for stability. Some change it for an on M but to be fair sharper steering + short wheel base + 300bhp on bumpy British roads might not be ideal...

If the Z3 rack was fitted to the M it would be very easy to produce excessive power over steer with 325 bhp, but it could be fun. The "mere" 140 bhp of the 1.9 makes the faster rack ideal, and the car very nimble. Wonder what the 2.8/3.0 uses?

I need to pop and see him about some work, would be nice to have a nosey around another Z (he always has so many M3's in too)
