Oops it was a little late when I edited the post last night so sorry ^^

Yes with tractor boy we have 19 my two cars are why number 2 is missing in the list and Gary's friend is also their as SilverZ3. We are close enough that I shall go back to John later tonight and formally kick it of. It would be nice to have a few more names so that I can update him with a better number. Than 19/20 but I think that is big enough to justify the HH ID Yellow!

Hi Wildeboy, Duncan and anyone else that wants to join the convoy en route. The pictures are self explanatory and the layby is only about ½ a mile outside Brackley so once you join the A43 you'll soon see us and we'll have a nice run with the group too. The layby looks a decent size so should be no problems parking up. We can sort out timings nearer the time by phone/text.

Wildeboy, if it suits you and you don't go to Horwood on the Friday we can sort out your ribbon and show plates when we meet at the layby :-bd

That layby looks just the job. I will be driving virtually past Silverstone to get to the layby though, it adds about 20 mins to my journy time. If I am late or if the traffic/queues look really bad I might just go straight to the track, or there is a smaller layby closer I could wait at instead.

I'm sure you wouldn't but don't try and wait for me or anything like that, I will have my ribbon so should be parked with you anyway. If the convoy is early I will see you all going the other way on the A43, I will catch you up don't worry!!!

Do you know what time the convoy will be passing?

If I don't see you at the layby we should be able to find each other fairly easily. You will have your showplates and my zed will be fairly recognisable after tommorrow!

Hi Duncan

Can you add me to the yellow ribbon list please. We were initially staying at Horwood House on Saturday night but I'm now going to book us in for Friday night as well so we don't have to set off very early on Saturday morning. We probably won't get to Harewood until around 8pm on Friday as SWMBO is working Friday afternoon.

I have the reply from John and the HH ID Yellow is now being set up. As I have said we are responsible for making sure that we follow the Marshals and our eyes as John puts it (refering to the HH ID Yellow signs). He is putting the sensible proviso that weather will dictate his actions on the day, obviously if the weather requires changes we will fall in with whatever he has to do. He has told me that through Ian he will post an update 48 hours before the event to say that all is fine. He has to arrange the direction signs and everything else, including the additional briefing for the Marshals so we all owe him at least a vote of thanks when we meet him and maybe even a cuppa if he wanders our way.

Please remember that like our Forum he has organised this event on behalf of BMWCCGB, as an unpaid volunteer, for all of us and I have found him to be a really receptive person and look forward to thanking him myself. I think he and Ian have done a stunning job and to also allow us the freedom they have is I think fantastic!
