I'm sure I read somewhere that roadsters with hard tops fitted are to be segregated.
Does anyone else recall seeing this ? x_x
Its nice to be different, and as I said before the hard top improves the car looks imho!

I'm afraid I'm with Mark on this one.. I don't want to be seen as a divide in different groups either.. Did alot of runs with .net last year and would be glad to park next to them as much as anyone in .org ;)

This events about all being together in one community with the same interest :ymhug:

Personally I would say leave it to the organisers.. We are all in the same area anyway!

Roll on the Fest!! :D

I don't think it's .net or .org, it's horward house isn't it? ;)

Count me in for the HHH parking :)

You are being asked to express your preference.
No-one is forcing you to join the HH or any other group

Perhaps we should be but it hasn't quite turned out that way (yet) :(

We are all different, and we all want different things. My personal 'want' is to park my Z4 with my Z3, and James Z3M so I can then experience the day with my two closest friends and our cars. If that doesn't happen, then I won't be too upset as it will be a great day anyway.

I think it's great that we are being given the ability to experience what we want from the event both as individuals, and as a wider community of owners.

The talk about different forums is distraction from the actual event itself. There are some .net members who are not members here, who have taken advantage of the Horwood discount and will be made very welcome there. We also have members of the Z3MCoupe forum coming along too and they have had a warm welcome extended to them also. Even mentioned it to a few on the Z4 Forum. There never has and never will be a "them and us".

At the track they will all no doubt be getting what they want from the day too!

I will go with that! At the moment I feel quite hurt at the way my efforts are being misinterpreted. This was MY idea no one else knew I was talking to BMWCC and I know I had no thoughts of us and them.

I've got a big man hug and a pint waiting for you at the Horwood Dunc. Don't feel down fella, I think everyone appreciates your intentions very much indeed...

I think Duncan is just trying to please everyone, unfortunately you can't please everyone. Don't get disheartened Duncan, I think your doing a great job organising the day for what it's worth.

Note that parking details are now on the main zedfest thread

Cars will be arranged in marque order i.e. z1, z3, z4 etc. If you still want to park up together then I'd suggest that you arrive in convoy then at least the .org z3s will be together in the z3 area and so on. I think most on .org are at Horwood so probably not too difficult for you to organise in reality.

Please don't feel disheartened Dunc, over the last 6 months (yes it has been that long) you have put so much of your time and effort into this, all with the intention of helping everyone get the best out of the event and even though we're not staying at Horwood, there's a pint and the biggest piece of cake with your name on it.... and a hug :ymhug:

Like I have said a few times, people want their own experience from this and can choose therefore to park wherever they want.

This thread is all about letting Duncan know if you would like (if the numbers are big enough) to park together as group and that's it, no hidden agenda no "divide" and it's sad to see it being taken that way.

Yep, Tim (sorry typo) Titan, that is why I will not be there and would rather go on a cruise with like minded forum members.

Following a late change to my holiday arrangements (We've decided to go away in September instead) it looks like I will be gracing the Zedfest with my presence and will be herded to a rather unique area...

I've been in touch with the organisers and they are reserving a place in the main car park for my Berlingo van.....or I may bring Zeddy for the run..... :( :D

Oh well..... :coolsteer)

As a result of Ian's post quoted above, on this particular thread I had assumed that we had failed to get our HH ID Yellow option. However I sought clarification from John Safe (The BMWCCGB Organiser) and he is still awaiting to hear from me that it is a runner WITH US!

So we need a few more names Guy's/Gals fairly Quickly so that we have the minimum number so that I can go back to John and say Yes. I do not have a current deadline but I would like to let him know ASAP.

What John does not want under any circumstance due to the problems at Silverstone over the F1 weekend is people trying to move from one area, where they may have gone initially, to join us if it has not been where they went when they entered the display area. If it is wet this will make the entire area a mess and that is not what we want at all.

May I remind you that to join the "HH ID Yellow" Group you do not have to be staying at the Hotel. It is a umbrella code for a group of people who would rather be together most of whom we think are staying at Horewood House Hotel/joining us/know us (which is all the Zroadster.org members plus others). I also wish to point out that if you have close friends that want to be with you that is also ok BUT I must know numbers in advance or it is not fair on the organisers! (I make the point specifically if someone is staying at the Hotel and is a Z3M-Coupe forum member and wants to join us that is great! If it is a personal friend of a member that is on .net/bimmerforums/zroadster.com etc. and wants to be with us lot that is also fine! BUT I have to know in advance to be fair to the organisers! Please remember that I originally approached John about the people staying at the Hotel that would be arriving together but then realised in case we split up en-route, we needed to deal with that! So hence it got extended to others but I would "ask" people to make sure if they wish to join us they try and fit close with our planned arrival time if possible. (I know I am asking the impossible I am just asking people to try.).........On a personal note I only want "nice" people in the HH ID Yellows" =))

May I also remind people that it is not just showing the yellow ribbon. We will all need to spot the "HH ID Yellow" signs so that we go straight to our area so that we do not cut up the surface by going all over the place en-route to our slot. And please no wheel spins that will make it a real mess and some of us are back on Sunday!

Any further Questions or constructive comments would be much appreciated.
Duncan
