That's it mate, get it off your chest lol!!!Well, I'm p***** off with wet and windy weather, getting cold water dripping down my neck and into my eyes, getting legs cold and wet leaning over the front of cars- which are cold and wet. Can you see the pattern here?
Yesterday, we were given good news and bad news. The good news is that we're not getting a pay rise (of 0.5%) again this year. The bad news is that we have to leave work earlier each day by 30mins. Did I get that right? Now 8 till 5 and Saturdays 8 till 12.
Apparently our new MD thinks that equates to a pay rise because it increases our hourly rate !! I don't think this has anything at all to do with boosting the hourly rate of those employed on the minimum (living) wage to keep them from having an increase - Do you?
Ahhhh, that's better.
Tony.
He's on his way round yours with a red hot pokerYep and he's not impressed
That's why you're up so early then Dave. Commiserations to you, I never did that amount of hours even when I was working.35! I've done just short of double that this week! Cue @Mint!
Tony,.......when you retire, will you spend a little more time in Florida? FrankieFour of us are planning to get ready for home by 12 tomorrow then go up to the office and ask of we can go home at 12 just to see what it's like ready for next week when the short hours start. D'you reckon we can get away with that?
Tony.
Yes, go for it Tony. You'll probably find the office staff don't know when the new hours come in anywayFour of us are planning to get ready for home by 12 tomorrow then go up to the office and ask of we can go home at 12 just to see what it's like ready for next week when the short hours start. When I get fully retired in another 6 years Frankie, we intend on spending at least 3 months over there each year, maybe twice a year if the visa waiver will allow it. Hopefully in the meantime we can wangle more stays there, I hope so.Tony,.......when you retire, will you spend a little more time in Florida? Frankie
Got even better for me but not for Rob...That's good @hard top

I must have misunderstood. You've got to come back Tony, we're all coming over to your meet on the 11th. Or is that before you go?when I get over to Florida in September I might forget to come back
That's before I go mate. We've used air miles, loyalty points, nectar points and even Greensheild bloody stamps but we have booked "Upper Class" flights for my 60th birthday treat. You've got to come back Tony, we're all coming over to your meet on the 11th. Or is that before you go?
Brilliant work Shirl. You will get used to upper class Tony, then you wont want to mix with us mere mortalsThat's before I go mate. We've used air miles, loyalty points, nectar points and even Greensheild bloody stamps but we have booked "Upper Class" flights for my 60th birthday treat.
Shirl has been busy as usual on price comparison sites and got our hotel at Manchester and 22 nights parking for free! and the lounge for free for when we go in April with Abz and Andy and the boys for free too. She is a wizard at finding bargains.
