I believe if you don't have original paint it effects the area they are stuck to.
Simple way to avoid it is take them off when your not driving.
My car us still original paint so no issues and they have been on permanently for over a year

I had them on my previous zed as well and never any issues. Not got them on this one yet obviously and have already got a couple of chips.

Had them on my Z3 just carefully removed them and washed them each time I washed the car so no drama really, just don't "slide" them off. Would have some on my Z4 but they won't stick to plastic.

Put me down for a set please in either shadow chrome (but not shiney chrome) or carbon effect if shadow chrome is not possible. Thanks in advance.

If you can find a pic of the colour I'm sure I can get it. I can get black chrome? But it's shiney

Well, funny you should say that Mike, I have some carbon effect vynil sheet and thought about making some "faux" ones. That would definitely stick mate.
