Maybe we should be replacing the OEM Z with a Zorg version :D

Prefer that to my attempt btw

Just spent some time reflecting on this thread. My original thoughts on the logo are that the 'Z' badge is the way to go.

I'm starting to come around to the ideas Nero has suggested. It has to be said that it looks modern, and very crisp (granted he has a better drawing package than I do, and I'm pants at drawing :-B )

So I guess we should be thinking about whether we want to base the logo around the classic 'z' shape, or go more modern with the shadowed font.

The modern look would fit in with this site quite nicely, which is modern and fresh looking. What do you lot reckon?

Nero, what does yours look like with a slinkier Z (a bit more streamlined for speed :) )?

:-bd for the flags

No - I usually just adopt it :eek:3

I'm not keen on the flag versions. they look a bit chavvy to me.
I agree with the classic Z shape though.
My vote would be for a Nero type design for the stickers with a sqaure version for T-shirts (and mugs) :)

I agree
Lose the flag(s) though and soften the corners a bit and it will make a great "square" emblem

I don't mean to be rude but I think the square Z logos look awful :-s sorry.

I think you need to stick with just one logo for everything

Whatever we go for needs to be classy to fit in with the ultimate driving machine it's going to be stuck to. Ideally clean lines and looks like it was fitted at the factory :)

I do like the one on the top of the forum at the moment. I guess that can be tweaked slightly increasing the size of the Z so that it fits most merchandise if required. It could be worked for mugs and fits in with clothing items, not sure what it wouldn't work with yet apart from key rings possibly?

Just my 2 pennies :)

Personally I don't like the 2 England/Scotland versions....just my humble opinion.

I like Zorg.... we need to keep it simple or it won't work with the various items we're going to want, also I think already mentioned keeping the colours down will ensure the costs of the items made will be kept as low as possible.

What about emphasising the Z and the org........ ZROADSTER.ORG

Also don't forget some practical things that people would buy like

Trolley coins
Bags
Umbrellas
Ice scrapers

Hmmmm
Limited market I feel
I know some of us use our cars year round, but embroidered fleecy blankets may be more popular :D

I might just buy one of THESE for a laugh

I like the idea if the url inside the Z, but I'm not sure you want to be advertising a Datsun website (roadster.org).

Why not write zroadster.org inside the Z?

Well I'm kinda thinking that you can use an ice scraper on any car not just your zed and the umbrella is generally used without the car so won't the market grow ;)

What about a Welsh version?

Gary, Perhaps continue the bottom of the Z along to the .org underlining Roadster, it would look more like the gills. You wouldn't be overlapping letters and it might make it easier to line up when sticking on aswell. What do you think. *-:) Colours are good. but the quote background proves you are right about light coloured cars :-bd
