Was about to suggest that Stuart.

I think we are there

battery just on charge

found the right hole for the rubber pipe
Sorted the connectors
Bled the pas
Put water in and oil
Reconnected exhaust
All intake hoses back on

so now we wait for the battery to see if she fires up

Good work, and it hasn't taken you long to do it either considering your working conditions

Just been out to start it- just a click

will recheck starter connections in am

Check engine earth before doing anything Stuart. If the main earth between engine and chassis is loose, or worse missing, you could fry something. Attaching a good size jump lead between engine block and chassis would elliminate the possibility.

Thanks Tony will do

I remember tightening it well but will recheck

Nice looking car is that Stuart.

On another note- how much of a PITA is it to coolant bleed an M52 engine…!

Slightly less than the 1.9 engines I think.

Read the codes today- only a couple and they are persistent?

the plugs into each sensor were the in the wrong holes

how dumb am I to assume bmw made every plug different to prevent this

mental note for future to label all plugs
