I thought it was about time to start tracking my mods - now that they are pretty much done! Wish I had done this about 3 years ago!

A few on my various sets of wheels and various stages of ownership! Spot the mods!

One slammed Z3 Coupe (looking a little too bling for me)

After front and rear strut braces, DVD player installed, side lights and indicators smoked, earls cluth hose fitted, rear boot floor failure and fixed, de-cat and mid silencer removed, front end ridded of stone chips and about 10 sets of tyres - for that there is TESCO credit cards - 60,000 miles of fun! Well as some of you will know the AC Schnitzer reps were sold and the old Z3M wheels are back on.

Now can anyone guess what these are for?

Well I had a nail in my tyre, all four needed replacing anyway so I'm after recommendations on tyre brands!?!?!

These are on in the mean time

I also have this as a little project!

Anyone know where I can get one of these? Some sort of holder for the bumer/carrier?

I also noticed during the wheel swapping that I need a new set of front discs and pads

I'm currently thinking either

Mintex discs and pads

Yellow stuff pads with Mintex, pagid or bosch discs?

Also recommendations welcome.

Hi Spurs Fan with AVB for a manager in a coupe :D

Tyres - I'm using Falken 912s (asymmetric) and am pleased with them. They are similar to ContiSportContacts but a lot cheaper.
Others use the 452s which have a symmetiric V groove tread.
Discs - I intend mixing Mintex with Yellow stuff next time I change

And as for your puncture - I had this in my front tyre last month
:(

I've also been busy at palm reading school Terry and I'm affraid it just sent a shiver down my spine!

Thinking of 452s so that I can swap them side to side when I wear down the inside edge

Having had Red Stuff i'm keen to try Yellow Stuff, I think it was the cheap drilled and groved discs that I shouldn't have used the last time.

I've fitted 452's to my Z4 and they really are not short of grip. Had them on the back of my Z3 and likewise no issues.

As for pads, the Z4 has Greenstuff fitted on the front. Work really well, but I find them annoyingly noisy in certain circumstances. Particularly low speed when having to touch them lightly. Manouvering as well, as mine is an auto you have to keep pressure on the pedal and they get quite noisy...

Car back on the road, Eagle F1 fronts, Falken 452s on rear, Pagid discs and red stuff pads, an easy way to spend £400.

I won't be using cheap drilled and grooved discs again.

Red stuff are well worth the spend, very good pads. :-bd

Wow, those discs and pads look really nasty :-o How long were they on the car?

About 35000 miles, discs were always very noisey. My new ones are just about bedded in now and feel good.

This is the next project!
