No surprise to me at all. If a car comes in for test with the old cert. and advisory items on I always look and almost everyone they still haven't been rectified. Makes you wonder why you bother.MOT history on this one makes interesting reading, just the usual advisories one would expect, nothing too bad that would ring alarm bells. Some of the things listed where it failed on a couple of occassions are things you would expect an owner to attend to before putting it in for a test, so mabe previous owner(s) were not so hot on maintaining it.

Your car is worth more than £1k. If that is all you want for it I would give you that for it!Thought that. And if I got 1k for mine. I might be able to knock a bit off his

Interesting , I have advisory's I then discuss it with the garage owner [always use same independent] regarding them.No surprise to me at all. If a car comes in for test with the old cert. and advisory items on I always look and almost everyone they still haven't been rectified. Makes you wonder why you bother.
Tony.
I suspect the dealer would indeed only offer around £1k in part exchange. At £3k his car looks cheap so he would value proportionately.I doubt it. It needs around 2k spending on it
