We're thinking of traveling down on Friday night to avoid the traffic on Saturday.
If we do we might have a ride over to the New Forest as i'v never been there,Can anyone tell me how long it would take to get there from Farnborough where we'll be staying for the weekend ?

Now we're talkinf talking Steve as that's where I'm born and bred! I'll be staying right on the edge of the new forest and from us (J25 M1) to there is about 3 hrs traffic dependant.

The meet on Sunday is fairly close to Fleet services on the M3 which is around about an hour from there driving very steadily. I know this as many (many many many) years ago, whenever I was on a coach home from a school trip we would stop at Fleet and notify the parents via the "communication tree" that we were an hour away.

Well i can see why you moved to Ilkeston,it must of been rough living so close the New Forest =))

@Steven Bostock what time Saturday are you thinking of visiting the New Forest ? Depending on how well I get on cleaning the Zed. Might have time to give you a mini tour of the best bits.
Oooo that would be great
I would think maybe late morning, will be taking the lap top so i can keep in touch and see how you go with the zed fettling ;)
Any idea how long it may take to get from Farnborough to the New Forest Paul ?

Yeah, I moved up here for the....um.....the.....there's lots of......um......

I've made a terrible mistake! Truth is I met a woman and got imported into Ilkeston as part of the breeding program! The gene pool was getting shallow.

New forest to farnborough should take les than an hour.

@Steven Bostock as @Mac Romans said, it should be less than an hour. But that depends upon where you go and if you join the ranks of 'grockles' aka Tourists lol... Lucky for me, I know the back roads.. No M3 from here to either the New Forest or the South Downs which start right around my village .. Lol...

As for my Zed.. She will be getting a full wash and tinkering plus a wax Can't let the side down at BMW the following day now can I..

Well to give you a break from all that cleaning and polishing on your zed on Saturday,i could drop mine round for a clean and polish as i bet you make a cracking job of it =)).
You are a lucky lad living so close to those lovely areas,it must be difficult to decide where to go on a sunny day for a taz round

@Steven Bostock there is also a few other routes too.. Stunning views this end of the South Downs. Our route on Sunday is the other end. Up to you if you fancy New Forest, Meon Valley or Western End of the Downs lol..

As for cleaning.. I have a hose pipe and a bucket you can use lol..

Decisions decisions
It all sounds good Paul, play it by ear you may not want to get your zed out after all that work you'll be doing to get it shining.
Done mine tonight and put the full outdoor cover on it,just hoping it doesn't rain on the journey to the hotel :D

Well I've been in Southampton since dinner time yesterday and it''s been persisting it down well into last night. Was proper rain as well, like god stood above laughing at us all. Got up at 5am and it appears to have dried up a bit. Fingers crossed you get good weather this weekend.

Well Reggie I'm looking outside at the moment (12 miles) from Southampton and its sun glasses at dawn scorchio=)) as predicted ;)

Thank you
@Tracy Dee Hello i have had a look and can see two places we can meet, either on the M25 which is way down the M25

Shell Chorleywood
Rickmansworth Rd
Rickmansworth WD3 5SE

Or meet before that off the A41 :) which I think maybe a better meeting point
Shell
Watford Rd
Kings Langley WD4 8RD
Please let me know what you think

Cheers

Stacey :)

I may be on my own here but I think name badges are a good idea, we had them on a cruise sometime ago. With such a large number of people badges showing user name and real names means your not constantly asking who someone is and then forgetting. Just a sticky label would be ok. Mind you being on crutches and in a wheelchair might make me standout as Mrs Mint lol :)
