Yep, I've decided at last to go that way for the suspension bushes (14 year old car, about time too). Only done the front so far, but it's definitely an improvement. There's a bend on the way to Pwllheli with quite a big ripple in it all the way across the road, makes anything shimmy a bit, but just changing the front lollypop bushes has almost got rid of that. The ride seems improved, too, much smoother, probably something to do with the suspension going up and down like it's meant to instead of trying to wiggle sideways. Never did like void bushes anyway. And back when I had my E36 I changed the same bushes for new standard ones, what a job that was. Much easier with the poly bushes, just slips together.
While I'm here, anyone come across adjustable top mounts for the front struts? Took the car in to have the tracking adjusted and it seems that the camber is a long way out. Not adjustable as standard, just wondering if there's a way of sorting that out.
And after typing all that with two fingers, time for a cup of tea.
