Archived Silverstone who's going?

Ill be there on Saturday, Ive only met at one event, Duxford, so Ill endeavor to find some of you somewhere. Im driving directly there as Im coming from Cambridge on the day and there is no meet up other than HI. See you there.
 
The tickets have landed!

I'm going early Saturday to miss any queues. It's quite nice to watch the cars come in as well. I'll probably head towards the entrance at the start and see them file past.

What time are those staying at the Holiday Inn expecting to leave for Silverstone on the Saturday morning?

We will be driving down and were hoping to meet up with you all.
 
i hope we will get the nod as to what time to meet in the car park

Was it around 7.30 last year when we set off from the hotel. I don't think there is anyone or anything arranged this year so if we all have a chat on the Friday evening and decide a time giving us plenty of time to get there as we will be joining the general throng into the circuit this year hence traffic could be quite busy.
 
We had breakie though I remember that

I think your right Ian it was about 7.30 last year. 2 years ago we went in the main entrance, we will have to go in the main entrance this year. I seem to remember a big queue on the ramp try to get off the motorway, we came across a fly over so avoiding that big queue coming off the motorway, but still had to crawl along for a mile or so before getting to the track entrance. What we need is a route avoiding that motorway.

Just looked at Google maps and it looks like we go on the M1 and then join the A43 to Silverstone. With reference to my previous post I think the jam was not on a motorway but the A5. Hopefully someone local to the area can advise us on Friday evening.
 
Yeh I seem to remember them putting breakfast on from 6 onwards. Maybe they will do the same this year as it is the official BMW club hotel this year so there will be many more there not just us zedders.
 
When the time to leave the hotel (HIE) on Saturday is decided would it be possible to add a post please.

Will be driving down in the morning, but if you are leaving at 7:30, we may go straight to Silverstone and meeting up with you there.

This is something to be mentioned as early as possible to the staff there I feel
Possibly by people arriving esrly Friday or already there
 
So we don't have a dedicated entrance this time ?

I've seen no indication anywhere that there are any special arrangements.
 
I think it is one for and all for one this year swamps but maybe we can get some sort of organisation assembled tomorrow night at the hotel.
 
Not sure if it helps but on the rear of the sticker that goes in the car it is directing us to the west entrance 3 and then gate 1.
