A huge :thankyou:to @BMBabe for arranging a superb day at Silverstone :highfive:. We had a blast, even with my modified exhaust. I was a bit worried I'd get chucked off for making too much noise but when I heard some of the other cars my mind was put at rest.:whistle:You know who you are .......;)
As @Shortie_gal mentioned we both had a moment carrying too much speed into a corner and getting the back ends to step out. Didn't step out as much as @Bozzy, we kept it going in (roughly) the right direction. Sam and I were together most of the session as we had the same engine and we were pretty well matched, great fun although when I indicated for Sam overtake so she could lead for a bit she did hesitate for a moment.

I have some video but no pictures, I'll get it uploaded in a bit.

Overall a great day so...when's the next one?

...My brakes (or what's left of them)...
Yep, mine were a bit glazed as well, as I found out driving away from Silverstone. They are not used to being that hot:whistle:

Same with ours Dave, in fact we went sailing past the fuel station at the track even though I was braking and had to reverse back =)).

I reckon that those of us with ordinary road pads would have glazed pads by the end.
Not sure about the yellowstuff ones... @Mnbrennan ???

Hmm might to have to try them, did you get the vibration through the steering under heavy braking Martin ? I did.

Yes, but I think that's just a feature of heavy braking on a track. The coupe did it too

The important thing is they didn't fade, so although there was vibration the braking was predictable.

They still worked great on the way home too!

Having good brake fluid makes all the difference too.

Nice to know it's not just my car that does it Martin.
I've got black diamond predator pads and discs, so I'll try the yellow stuff pads as they sound very good, many thanks .
P.s it still did it with fresh brake fluid as well.

I did wonder, not to bad to repair hopefully.
Tony.
It was in hospital at the local Powerflow franchise while I was on hols in Cape Verde. They couldn't fix it due to 'lack of the correct tools and flange size'...

I'm trying somewhere else tomorrow Tony
