If my Z ever breaks it's GB from more than torque than expected I think I will be v surprised man at this alt.

Good point. Assuming 80%, your S54 would be around similar torque to a sea-level 2.8 (280ish Nm). You could probably get away with just fitting the engine and exhausts.

It's always fun trying to find the weak points . My latest weak point was the clutch master cylinder clevis. I think the ACT lightened clutch was too heavily sprung for the feeble BMW plastic clevis.
