Many thanks to @Stevo7682 and @Mrs Stevo for arranging a great weekend. Here's my speeded-up GoPro footage. Top-tip - don't use your wipers when the sticky mount is on the windscreen:wideyed:

Bumper-cam video. The drive up. Battery ran out at Spean Bridge.

Dash-cam video. Drive around Skye...

Drive around Applecross...

All the ferry places had been booked until 1300, so we took the long route to Glenfinnan. We just missed a steam train (not Hogwart's Express) crossing the viaduct. Drove through the fog above Invergarry...

Sorry to hear that @bertiejaffa had an incident on way home. Hope everyone one is okay and car is able to be repaired.

Mine is still up in Kyle and hoping to be repatriated in Thursday.
My wheel had fractured in several places and shredded the tyre wall. Luckily I had another set at home, which are now with Birmingham City Powder Coaters and being refurbished in the correct colour. So fingers crossed Blue will be back on the road by the weekend

Great photos @Jjim
Not so great to read about the various cars’ mishaps. I hope all are ok and that the Beamers are good, too.

Just got home, did 1349 miles and averaged 36.3 mpg, just to reiterate, what a cracking weekend, both carrie and I had a great time with great people oh and not to mention the great weather, i have actually got a bit of a sun tan, here's another view of the pot hole that wrecked my rear wheel and knocked out the front geometry

We're home again and let me add our thanks to @Stevo7682 and @Mrs Stevo for a great weekend. Great roads, company and weather nothing more required. Great to see old friends and meet some new ones. Very sorry about the incidents with @Sean d, @Jjim and @bertiejaffa but no damage to persons just the cars. We totted up 1,278 miles from home to home, enjoyed every one of them.....well apart from the ones where we were moving slowly on the M6 today.

My photos are still in the camera and tbh I'm too tired to sort them now, maybe tomorrow;)

Where you bought home by recovery services @Jjim ? Are they recovering Blue back home, too?

Left at local garage, whilst I took a hire car home. Blue is being repatriated on a car transporter this week. Should have her back on Thursday and replacement wheel sorted by the weekend.

Many thanks to @Stevo7682 and @Mrs Stevo for organising another great weekend. I have just got home after 1640 miles including my trip to Forres to see my brother on the way home. Great trip today through the Highlands down to Perth but as soon as I reached the English border, the heavens opened and it was down to abot 50MPH for a long way. Glad it waited to the end. I will try and sort out some pictures tomorrow.

No mate, just a lit of pot holes and rough roads weakened previous welds and they let go, ironically on a good road.
