I have started this thread now the dates have been picked, I'll ask the mods to lock the old on and I will keep this up to date, Looking to take advantage of the August Bank Holiday the dates will be Friday 26th to Monday 29th August.

Old thread: Linky

Hopefully with a good few people travelling from the south the format will be something like this: -

Friday - Make your way North (or south) to the hotel for late afternoon early evening, then evening meal etc.
Saturday - Day trip out and about TBC, lunch on the hop and back to the hotel for evening meal etc.
Sunday - Day trip out and about TBC, lunch on the hop and back to the hotel for evening meal etc.
Monday - Depart and Leisurely trip back home :)

I'll look to block book rooms at a hotel in a week or so when I have a few more names.

We had quite a list on the last thread with interested people, now the dates have been added can you please re-enter your name below.

Thanks

Hello @Brian H can you please stick me down in the "interested" catagory please (no co-pilot)? Can't commit for a few months as I may have work stuff coming round the corner. I'll let you know either way as soon as I can.

Many thanks.

I have nothing fixed as yet, Either location will will be a great base for a hotel, Thinking aloud, the Killin area will be an hours less travel than Fort William for people travelling North.

Hi, Brian having booked our hotel in Penrith I thought I would have a look at Hotels around Killin as mentioned in your post,:)
a lot of them seem to have only a couple of rooms free:nailbiting: so I think we will have to book ASAP and especially as it's a bank holiday weekend:whistle:
not trying to scare you what you think:thumbsup:

Brian we have booked into the Travel Lodge in Penrith on Thursday 25th so will definitely be able to meet up for the onward journey on the Friday to the base hotel (same as Dave):)

Okey Dokey then all sorted! nearer the date we shall exchange mobile numbers so we can arrange a time and you can give me the post code of the Travel Lodge ect.

Hi again, I found the same with Killin and more expensive too! I have reserved a very nice B&B guest house for Fort William
if you and Mint are interested?

Brian that sounds great as long as its close to the start point of the cruises and i'm not to sure where they are? at the moment:whistle:
I think I will wait for (Brian H's plan), having said that we can't wait to long to book as I said things getting booked up really early:nailbiting:

I am going to touch base with the hotel tomorrow, I will be looking to set aside a number of rooms ready for you guys to book. I will hopefully have something tangible by the end of the week.

Will do :)

So I popped in to the Hotel tonight on my way home, I have provisionally reserved a number of rooms so pressure to find a hotel is now off.
I am still to work out rates etc. with the Hotel. I'll publish the rates with the booking reference code once I have this.

That's it for now :)

Good work Brian, pleased to hear of the progress:thumbsup:

Brian, can you add Gail & I to the list please. We will be on holiday in Scotland at Aberfeldy for the week from Friday 25th August. What is the name of the base hotel where the cruises will start from? Hopefully not mega miles from Aberfeldy.

Hi Ron,

Great news, Aberfeldy is approx 1hr from the hotel so not too far, on the success of the BMWCC event let year I have spoken to the same hotel they used, The Crianlarich Hotel.

Cheers

Brian

Brian so sorry but cant make this, crap as this is my region, bizarrely down south for second half of that weekend ,do hope you have a great time and the sun shines

HI I am interested I have always fancied a trip round most of the highlands. Did a little in the Saab this year based out of Edinburgh but travelled up to Fort William & Loch Fyne just to take in the scenery one day. I am strapped for cash so depending on the hotel cost I may have to do something like the Youth Hostel and I may even decide the best way is to drive up in the SAAB towing the Westfield if it is road registered by then. My Trailers too short to take Blue but the fuel saving from North Devon will be huge even if I did 60 all the way in Blue.

SO at the moment put me in the interested Category Please

Update:

The hotel I have provisionally booked rooms at is The Crianlarich Hotel, I have 15 rooms set aside, a combination of double and twin rooms. The rates give are below.

When booking the room please quote Zroadster and you will be allocated one of the rooms on hold.

The price is £45.00 per person per night on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast basis, and there is a £15.00 supplement for single occupancy. For those who are not staying in the hotel we can offer the 3 course meal for £19.95 per person.

Thanks

@Brian H just read that as £45 per room for B,B & EM and thought wow that's cheap but it's ok I read it again and it made more sense :p
Moral of this is "always read everything twice lol"
Now need my man to book

WOW brilliant my man that compares favourably with the Youth Hostel by the time you take everything into account! Count me IN! no longer a provisional I am defo up for that! I tried to book online with the code and that was not recognised so I phoned from Chicago and got trough first time and booked and paid for! Oh and it's La_Vida_Diver not Diva I might be a bit of a Diva but.....LOL

Not Being Funny but allocate £15 for evening meal £5 for Breakfast that makes it £25 per person for the bed. I was looking at more than that for the three nights at the Youth Hostel not a lot more but actually more! and there is the additional fun of all being together. Though the odd Bevy or two might be more expensive than take your own to the Youth Hostel.=))

Now all I have to do is get the route up sorted and maybe an overnight on the way planned. Oh and potentially all three cars up to scratch Lisa_Amerela and the Saab in case the weather is Brilliant in which case my costs to get there drop significantly and Blue in case it's not! I Might Bring Blue in any case seams a shame to relegate her to local only, not sure yet I have to have a hard think about that.
:thankyou::scorecard:
